Biohazard still rip roaring live.

Saw them in Manchester last year, emotional.

If my rota slips a bit ill be there front and centre.

Anyway confirmed.

The titans of Groove metal Pantera, Hydro. Feb 25.

Glad to hear it, cheesers.

Deliberating pantera if I'm free closer to the time, just for shits and giggles.

I've been waiting to take my kids to their first ever rock gigs and two have come along at once; we're going to see Ghost in April and Iron Maiden in June.

Going with the girlfriend to see Dream Theater in Plovdiv Amphitheater in July, as well as Midalidare Festival that same month. Better weather than UK/Ireland festivals and cheap wine.

Have you heard the new Opeth album yet and if so, what's your thoughts so far?

I actually haven’t sat and listened the whole way through yet, been meaning to, but the bits i’ve heard including the single were really good.

I am one of those “I only really like their old stuff” Opeth fans, everything before Watershed I love. How about you?

I was neither up nor down when I heard they'd be going back to the extreme metal sound, as I know a lot of bands try - and fail - to 'go back to the roots'. I like the 1997-2005 era best, but Heritage and Pale Communion had some strong stuff. The new one is taking a while to really gel with me, however. The heaviness and prog-related stuff is all there, but it's not full of catchy hooks like Still Life or Blackwater Park. I'll give it time and hopefully it'll grow.

My 2025 gigs will kick off on 1st Feb, with the Head Hunters and High Voltage (AC/DC Trib) at Ivory Blacks.

I look forward to it, esp as I missed the LiveWire show last year.

🤘

PS - Ivory Blacks is quite near Hun Hovel "Oswalds", so my plan will be to over-eat and then block their toilet before or after the gig 😆 See how they like that.

Black Sabbath doing one final gig (again) - along with a pretty deep who's who of metal music. Personally really looking forward to Fred Durst doing the vocals on Iron Man.spacer.png

Be almost impossible to get tickets (?) whats the capacity do you know? Cheers

Was at this last Saturday, it was fantastic.  Liked both bands and the venue.  HV played the same set as AC/DC as their 1978 Glasgow Apollo gig. Very impressed with them, esp front man.  Other bands go in for a lookalike aspect, but they didn't (beyond a cap for angus) in favour of just being excellent, I really liked it.
