As for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Supposed to be a fourth one out next year. It is class, but too many sequels is never a good idea. I haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet. I've got it on order. It's supposed to be out about now??? They also sent Munich, which I'll be watching the morn's night (assuming the tears don't obscure my vision to much). Looks like it could be ok. Link to comment

King Street Loon
Just watched the Bourne Ultimatum. Superb film. Quality.Read an interview online with Matt Damon and he said that they're going to make a new Jason Bourne film. But it's going to be an original script not adapted from the books. He also said it's going to be harder for him to get into shape,as he was a lot younger when he 1st started doing them. But he's in he's almost 40 now so he's going to find it harder to get in shape. Looking forward to that when it happens. Reading the Bourne books just now as it happens. Watched Superbad lastnight also. Always makes me laugh! Link to comment

Munich is a brilliant film, i watched it on sunday. one of the best i've seen recentlyMunich was fascinating. Excellent film. They sent me the last Mummy film and Tropic Thunder. Talk about a shift in class. Suspect they are gonna both be shite. They are the sort of films you pick just to build your list up. But hey ho, I picked them... The Deer Hunter is on the now. Brilliant film. Not sure you could necessarily call it a 'Nam film. They are only in 'Nam for about 20 mins. More about the after effects on the individuals and the town. 3 and a half hours tho. Already an hour into the film and they have just got passed the introduction bit (the wedding). Link to comment
tutankamun
The Deer Hunter is excellent. Defining moment is the 'Russian Roulette' scene with Walken and De Niro. Top class. Link to comment
centraldon
Debbie diz dallasThe remake featured briefly in a Louis Theroux documentary. Didn't seem to bear much correlation to the original in terms of "story" though. Link to comment

Top class. Most would agree with you. The defining moment for me is the bit at the end when they all join in a chorus of "God Bless America" after Nick's funeral. Brilliant ending. None of your Hollywood happy ending non-scence there. Link to comment

None of your Hollywood happy ending non-scence there. would have been a good scene if not for Meryl Streep's terrible singing. Honestly though, this film is an anti-American film. Full Metal Jacket is an anti-war film but the Deer Hunter is about patriotic Americans that become disillusioned with their country and all that it stands for. Brave film, brilliantly made. tutankamun
Just watched 'Body of Lies' with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. Thought it was excellent. I honestly think Russell Crowe is one of the best actors of his generation. He's always excellent in every movie I've seen him in. The great thing about him is that he is not typecast and no matter what type of role he plays, he plays it as good as anyone could do. Whether it be an understated role like in this movie (Body of Lies) or more dramatic like Gladiator and LA Confidential. The guy is one of the best imo. A c**t in real life I'm sure, but a brilliant actor. Saying that, it was also a good performance by 'King of the World' DiCaprio. Well worth a watch. Link to comment
