Survival/exploration films are my favourite. Sea, space, mountains,wherever. Preferably based on true events, but stuff like The Martian and Gravity get a pass.

I read the first one 18 months ago, and absolutely loved it. I'm up to the 6th now, and they're still fantastic. Very well written, proper 'literature', but also plenty plot to keep me interested. I don't understand all the nautical terms, but I don't feel I need to.
