The Cockney Don
Murray Mania is still alive. All british clash with Evans in the 3rd Round if they both progress. 1 Link to comment

It was just like old times watching him battle through a marathon match at a slam. A very tough match next up against Auger-Alliassaime though. Impressive win. Even more impressive considering he announced his retirement early last year... or so everyone in the press assumed. ? Link to comment
redstrummer
Watched the full match last night . What a warrior !! looked down and out , incredible comeback Link to comment
maryhilldon
Great to watch some tennis with a dog in the fight again. Great comeback, just like olden times. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Aye. Hopefully Andy does a bit of damage in a few tournaments once he gets going again. Would be great to see him competing at the top level, even if it is just for a short while. Link to comment
Parklife
Djokovic disqualified after hitting the line judge in the face with a ball struck away in anger. ? 1 Link to comment
Ramandu
I had the Andy Murray match on in the background there. He's still got the hunger to win, he was 3 match points down on the other guy's serve and somehow managed to go on win. They kept showing folk in the crowd with a dons supporters flag - anyone on here a member of the Doha Aberdeen supporters club? Link to comment
The Cockney Don
Can't see him beating the Ruskie. Link to comment
Jigsaw666
Medvedev would be some scalp but even getting to the final is a hell of an effort considering he's come from behind for most of his matches. Link to comment
Parklife
Even with a defeat today he'll be back inside the top 50. A win and he'll be in the top 40. A great platform to build off going in to Indian Wells and Miami, where there's a ton of points on offer. Not sure if he'll play much clay court this year, so the points he gains over the next month will be absolutely critical if he's going to manage to get himself seeded for Wimbledon. If he does that and can avoid a seed until round 3, he'll really set himself up for one last bit run. What a guy he is. ❤️ Link to comment

Zverev just coming back from his ankle injury last year. Big name but not at 100%. A good win nonetheless though. Yesterdays win was a good one too, up against a talented up and coming player. Medvedev today a real test against one of the very, very best. Link to comment
Guest milne_afc
What happened on the final point of his match yesterday? The opponent looked like he wasn’t even trying but looked genuinely shook when Murray won it. Link to comment
Jigsaw666
Bold effort but Medvedev just too good. 6-4 6-4. Link to comment
JoeyVimsantePoet
Sir Andy Murray is a legend. He is the Loch Ness Monster, Sean Connery or Jackie Stewart. 1 Link to comment

Incredible to think he's been in at least 10 Grand Slam finals and countless semifinals, losing almost every time to one of the 3 greatest male players of all time. In any other era, he'd have won 8-10 Grand Slams IMHO. I'd put him right up there with Agassi, Becker and the likes, possibly in the top 5/6 of all time. Link to comment

Although I don't think he thinks he has anything to prove either, he's playing because he wants to. Link to comment

Parklife
Tough first round draw for him, if he can even get ready in time to make the start line. Hopefully see him in the Olympics, as the tournament's greatest modern male player, it'd be a fitting place for him to end his career. Scotland's greatest athlete 💙. I doubt we'll see his like again in our lifetimes. 1 Link to comment
