Absolute nonsense min, cmon.

You telling me that's how he's achieved what he's achieved so far?

He should want to be number 1 in the world , he has the ability.

A poor attitude like that will cost him dear, I just don't like seeing him turn up with that attitude , there's plenty up and coming players who would give their right arms to get a chance to play in a top 16 tournament.

It's a well known fact that he hardly practiced last year after winning the worlds, said in an interview before the PL final that he had to have a throw for some promo work which he classed as a practice but he trusted in his game enough and that sharpened him up a little.

He hardly threw a dart after the worlds last year as he was in demand so much , not out of choice.

He struggled for a while because of it too.

Gary Anderson is a brilliant darts player and I support him but he has a clowns approach to the game.

After his carry on miscounting in the worlds final/ semi and totally fucking up and his attitude to practice in general , it's shite to see someone with that ability never fulfil their potential because of that clowns approach.

Van Gerwen is dominant partly because of Andersons buffoonery.

You obviously see it differently though.

Well it was, he said so himself that he didn't see a point to it, he was playing exhibitions too in that time which obviously keeps the game ticking over.

Different players want different things, MVG is young and will dot up, he's already playing to a better standard than Taylor ever has, Anderson when in the groove can beat MVG, as can taylor, Chisnall and lewis, those guys all want different things and go about their matches in a different way.

But I doubt any of those you have mentioned often say they haven't prepared properly.

Anderson needs to up his game, he is a world champ and should start acting like one.

That's all I'm saying.

Winning back to back world titles, raising a young family, juggling a business with his sponsoring of other players, and he's being labelled a buffoon in doing so. Nae bad min.

He's just turned up at a big tournament and boasted that he's had his feet up for 3 weeks then been binned by van der voort.

You would do well to read the context of what I've said min.

He just defended the world title, the title he strived to win and has now done it back to back, I'm surprised he didn't retire.

I've read it and understood the context fine. He maybe needed a wee break before a tournament. Gary said at the worlds he's maybe had 2 months off in the last year.

Massive choke from Phil but setting up that outshot when MVG was on 144 was daft, was a little bit of "come on then show me if you are good enough" which he obviously is.

It was pretty disrespectful actually . But then how many times out of ten does MVG take that out?

Taylor had a massive chance at restoring a lot of confidence there but ultimately could have lost more in the space of 7 darts.

Link to comment

Apart from the 7 missed darts, that is the best Taylor has played for 18 months, and that is only with a couple weeks practice with his new darts, he had MvG rattled and in the end bottled it.

While the man is an arse, having a strong Taylor able to compete with the best is good for the game, and lets sky pundits wank over him some more.

Can't disagree with that, he seems to like these new darts but will he stick with them? For me once you have a small issue with them and you are happy to tamper with them you'll keep trying to find faults with them, if he sorts his head he'll have a solid year.

Much will probably depend of the first couple of PL matches, who does he play ? if he wins them, he will likely keep them. Gets pumped heavily and he will nae doot change again.
