For me, he is our best player, and think next season, he will more than likely be one of the best in the squad, bringing the game to the other teams, driving forward, bringing others into the game....this for me is someone you CAN (if you choose to!) build a team around.

Think it says something when he is the first one signing. The other out of contract players seem to be in a position where they are all shouting for deals, so since this is not part of a 5 player signing on story and Brown has suggested wholesale changes, I can't see many more staying on. I can't really see Brown keeping anyone on out of contract other than perhaps Aluko and Maguire.

Superb news. Yes the Celtic game aside he's not been playing that great but understandable as the team have been total plop, however he looks like a great player on his day and seems to be one of the few players in our squad who is very comfortable with the ball and pulling the strings in midfield. Has to ditch that horrendous free-kick stance though.

Usually close season consists of the club dicking around and dicking around, often chasing after one player who clearly isnt particularly interested in joining the club, and then after 6 weeks of f**king the morons who run our club around the player in question will sign for some other club.

 

Then we race around looking for any old pish, a'la Jerel Ifil, to fill a jersey in the least competent manner possible.

 

So, no, close season just gets on my f**king tits.

Glad he's been signed up, with him there, FF & Axel in the middle I'm pleased with our central midfield so far for next season.

 

Perhaps this does give creedence to the PH story, and with Deek on the move does this mean more of a role for young Ryan " Wolf in sheeps clothing" Jack in the central midfield. I hope so, cause he's a good wee player, better suited there than on the wing.

CB has already stated that players will only have so long to sign a deal or they're off - and the first of those has signed already, rather than dicking us around until July to see who else is interested.

 

Hopefully Aluko will follow suit and then we may also find out if Bebo's agent has some genuine offers for his client, or if he sh!ts it and signs on again here. If given a 2-yr deal on significantly more money than we can afford (say
