Holburn Cafe did amazing knickerbocker Glorys ? Was it not Holburn Ices up beside The Foundry (a pizza place now) and The Southern Café where Maggie’s Grill is now? As an ex-Harlaw Academy pupil, I should know that for fact, but memories fade with time. Link to comment

dazzy_deff
Jumped on the bandwagon and booked da vincis for a few weeks time. Link to comment
Poodler
Sunday night had Nargile take away - was 10/10 just back from Da Vinci’s. Didn’t realise it was restaurant week, place was hoaching. Da Vinci’s is good food, reasonably priced. I like the bird that runs it, always remembers a face and looks after you. i still think Rustico’s is No1 Italian but it’s worth checking out Da Vinky Link to comment

Simply Red
The Eastern Europeans working in the UK hospitality/retail industry have shone a light on how bad the brits are at it. Night and day. Yir average brit shop assistant/waitress/waiter is doing well to manage basic human politeness (Hello/please/thanks) never mind the rest. 1 Link to comment

Doesn't bother me either way if they stayed open. You'll always find somewhere to eat. They stand a better chance of surviving if their service was better though. 1 Link to comment
