sheepiekev
Just as i say that, Messi confirmed winner, Ronaldo 2nd, Iniesta 3rd. FIFA team of the year, is made up completely of players based in Spain All Barca and Real players and Falcao. Hopefully, it will keep quiet jingoistic cunts like Jamie Redknapp et al that insist that the EPL is the best league in the world. My hairy arse it is.Most over-hyped definitely. Hopefully Man U & Arsenal get pumped out in the next round of the Champions League....and I think they will. Link to comment
E-P-K
like everyone else in history of world football would be???? Has Messi played since the history of world football begun like ? Link to comment
Bluto10
guardiola wins nothing of importance and coaches for half a season yet still makes the manager of the year shortlist. must be some manager. Link to comment

The Boofon
Anyone live in Spain? Do the Spanish pundits claim on their shows that the Spanish League is the best in the world or is it specifically an English based thing? Link to comment
vanderark14
They promote scottish football!!!!! ok I'll re-phrase it. anything sky wish to put effort in to promoting is over rated. For example, when a scottish game is being advertised it looks like something bluto produced on his phone whilst lying in a puddle of his own piss. When ever they promote and english game, whether its QPR v Mansfield in the league cup or Man Utd v Man City its billed as the greatest game in the history of football. Same goes for any match featuring Real Madrid and Barca. Link to comment

Their current ad for Peterheid v the Rangers sounds like it says that Peterheid stole an undeserved point away from the mighty righteous zombie hun. Maybe eh heard wrong, but that is completely the opposite of what actually happened. Link to comment
Bluto10
But Spain has had 13 winners and 9 runners up, compared to England's 12 and 7... i made this point a while ago. you can [pretty much scrap 5 of those as being from a byegone age when the euro cup was a monkey tournamnet.13 wins is simply an anomaly. real have 9 of them. you can spin stats anyway you like but these players deserve to be nowhere near a team of the year award: Link to comment

Stoney
The english premier league is better entertainment than la liga Barcelona and Madrid are awesome teams, but its so one sided over the last three seasons the gap from 2nd to 3rd has been 30 points, 21 points and 25 points. Take those teams out of the league and it would probably be excellent, but la liga is all about the top 2. in england you have 4 or 5 teams that could win the league with spurs always there or thereabouts also. Spain its either going to be Barca or Madrid! Link to comment

Arsenal, Chelsea, City and United with Liverpool coming close (and should have won it) Spurs not that far off either. Probably one of the most competative leagues in european football! Bluto10
Casillas, Alves, Pique and alonso are top class players! yeah they are but are they really the best in the world?individually of course, i mean.i dont think they are. but you have to pick them, cause theyre barca and real, right? in 2010 sneijder almost won the lot, contributing to his teams greatly, and he still lost out. if sniejder didnt win it then ronaldo and iniesta were never going to win it Link to comment

All three have been Euro Champs, World Champs and Champions league winners, You just cant get better than that! Link to comment

A case could be argued for other players, but to suggest the above are not worthy winners is quite frankly bollocks. As for the comment about Guardiola must be some manager, he is, thats why he was short listed. As an aside, read 2 fantastic books over Christmas, Barca by Graham Hunter, and El Classico about the history of Barca v Madrid, anyone interested in Spanish football should read them, particularly Grahams book.
