dazzy_deff
Army folk are on par with Rubgy teams as the biggest group of wankers you could encounter on a night out. Brother in law was an ex marine, spoke a good game even though he'd never been involved in any serious conflict. I had my doubts about his trained killer claims and reckon I'd clean him out with one boom in the dish. My doubts were confirmed however when they were being pricks up at the Cloverleaf Bar and got battered by the darts team. The marine got knocked clean out for a good 10 seconds with one punch from an over the hill arrow thrower. I was in the cubs.got into an argument with an ex marine in the queue for soul casino last year. Wasn't up for a scrap when it was offered. Conclusion...marines are faggots. Link to comment
Robbie Winters
I once gained access to a NATO base in Norway by flashing my army card at the young sudjer on guard. He said I did not think Scotland had it's own army, I replied quickly hiding my SSC membership card with the words, yes son, Tartan Army. The fanny let me in as well. Severe lack of security if you ask me Link to comment

Ke1t
I had an Action Man.I got it from my cousin. Had Eagle eyes and everything. That was the one wi the short, ginger hair, wasn't it? 'Real' gripping action hands inna. The military would have been a bad fit for me... for a lot of reasons. Was in the Boys Brigade for about 10 minutes aged 9 or 10 or so, then it dawned on me that this was some sort of Christian bullshit and turned tail and got out of there before they started on about Noah and Zebedee and that. I do own a gun though Link to comment

muttondressedaslamb
Baby killers! My old fitness trainer, Christian from Kigali, was a Tutsi during the Rwandan genocide. He was a child soldier and saw men throwing babies off walls as well as other atrocities but that was the one that stuck out in my mind. The horror, the horror. Link to comment

I'd argue some people join the armed forces in order to get specialized training or a university education in many countries, which some years' service in the forces will pay for. They're certainly bright people, just lacking the financial resources to gain a university/college education in any other manner. And some I've known have just felt compelled to join, wanting to serve their country in some way. I think the truly daft grunts are relatively few. Link to comment
