Sevco Thread

Hope RyHUN Jack is learning Spanish and/or Portugese this summer as he'll not be able to communicate to his new team mates. Another couple of taco munchers signed by sevconia FC!

All he has to learn is how to rotate both hands over each other in a circular motion to communicate 'recycle possession'

The total law of probability means that some of these players likely will be decent.

Yep, but then that suggests some of the others will be shite.

There's a wee article on BBC Scotland today looking at the abilities of Pena and Herrera - both of whom I'd guess should be in the upper bracket of their new signings.

It doesn't exactly make them sound like world beaters.

It wont matter who they sign if their manager is shite. Celtic's last manager proved that. Apparently Jack looked their best player during a bounce match... if that is the case, which is highly doubtful, then they will not be that much of a threat.

It appears PUMA forced Huncos hand in the Sport Direct conflict. Does anyone know how much Hunco are now getting out of the current shirt deal?

Allegedly 75% of the profit (according to a Hun at work) but he has his head in the sand regarding the fact that it's last seasons kit they are using due to the back stock they never sold.

Depending on who you believe (A taig/tarrier/insert cafflick insult of choice or Sammy the Mechanic)..then either

A/ They're back, we're all scared and we're all in their firing lines on their way to universal domination, or

B/ Huns were due Ashley an unaffordable sum for a shitload of unsold shirts which the directors were in the process of ponying up to fund thus exposing themselves even more to UEFA scrutiny re FFP. Huns have been convinced 'they've won' by the balanced coverage provided from a glib and shameless liar writing via Fatboy Traynor in the Daily Record and are buying said unsold stock just to prove it. Ashley thus gets paid. Huns don't have to write a cheque. Huns continue their shirt buying on their way to universal domination etc etc and they get 75% of profit on every shirt sold in their shop and 50% of profit sold in SD shops. Ashley, as wholesaler of shirts to both emporia has complete control over the profit being made and thus distributed per the above formula. Of course the way to get around this conundrum for the hun is if Ashley chooses to charge £100 per shirt (thus normally eradicating any profit per shirt) then the hun can always fleece their own fans some more by adding on their usual margin thus creating their own dividend. Of course doing this gives Ashley even more than he is already receiving via the £100 shirt. By fuck they've fairly showed him eh. GIRUY Ashley.

To provide a comparison its like forcing the AFC fans to provide all sums to build a stadium with the sums preordained to be two stadiums worth, one for us and one for Stewarty Milne, just cos.

I admit, Ashley selling his shares doesn't quite fit other than if you've got a club by the balls you don't ordinarily need to be biting its throat at the same time.

I guess "profit" is open to a lot of interpretation by Sports Direct since they run the whole shebang now rather than Rangers Retail.

So the profit could be 10p per shirt for all they know.

I'd think having extracted a good wedge in return for stopping the legal action that would have finished Sevco off, Ashley might fancy getting the fuck out of dodge before the next financial short storm lands. He's effectively leaving them all in the hands of a fraudster and racketeer in Dave King so "hell mend them" I guess.

EDIT: it should mean Dodgy Dave has control of enough shares to approve the debt for equity swap now I reckon (as the HK investor will be one of his dodgy chums and 1872 is basically fans money being used purely for Dave's agenda)
