Pudgie
That Bomber Brown article isn't too bad if you ignore all the " still the same team" shite. He seems to be the only man within the rangers men speaking sense. Link to comment

That thing in the second division, whatever it is, its not fucking Rangers. It's very odd, all right. Rangers were liquidated. They died. Our Club Chairmen voted on whether a NEWCO should be allowed to play in the top flight. Has all of this just been forgotten? Just because this new club and it's fans stamped it's feet and demanded they were Rangers does not make it the slightest bit true. The mainstream media and the hun bastards that have attached themselves to this shambolic tribute act should be reminded time and again they are not Rangers Link to comment

Again at it in this article. Still going on about the deeds. You know it's a shambles when this guy represents the voice of hope and clarity amongst your support. If you were Dundee fan right now... how pissed off would you be? Focus on the team that pays you you stupid one-note bastard. 1 Link to comment

The mainstream media and the hun bastards that have attached themselves to this shambolic tribute act should be reminded time and again they are not Rangers I've got a copy of this which I take out and look at when times are low, just to cheer myself up. "Can't be so bad, Rangers are dead." that's also the issue that has Traynor saying they don't exist anymore in it. Thinking of getting it laminated cos I don't want it to get ruined if for example the pages get stuck to together. 3 Link to comment
The Oxford Don
It's not as clear-cut as simply saying that they're not the same old club. I know we all want that to be true but there's a snag... The oldco was liquidated… fact. However, under a daft sleight of hand practiced by the SFA, ‘Rangers’ were ‘allowed’ to keep their name, history and identity. This is of course completely unprecedented, and we all know that it doesn't make any sense, but unfortunately it does also mean that Rangers fans are quite correct to state that they are the same club… because, under the SFA’s own rules, they are. So the correct answer to the question ‘are they the same club’ is, confusingly, yes and no simultaneously. It would have been much easier for everyone concerned, including ‘Rangers’ fans themselves, if this situation had never arisen and the new club had formed and just been told to get on with it; that way there would have been no ambiguity, and I for one would even have been fairly relaxed about them enjoying an emotional (as opposed to official) claim on the historic achievements of the old club provided that they acknowledged that they're different (in much the same way as Airdrie UTD fans claim the history of Airdrionians, for example, without anyone batting an eyelid). No-one really cares, ultimately, about the legal niceties of the situation, but the way in which they have been 'allowed' to continue being the same thing is just plain weird. 2 Link to comment
tup
I dont agree there is any rule in place to say they are the same. Liquidation is clear cut, no ambiguity exists in reality. Only corrupt bigots would argue otherwise. 2 Link to comment

dervish
So anyone who bought the assets of "Rangers" even though a completely new entity could still claim their history/titles? Or only if they made their name sound like the old company? So for example if we had all clubbed together and bought "Rangers" we could just tack it on to the rest of our history and claim the titles etc? Link to comment

It doesn't make any fucking sense at all, but as it is the SFA's 'game', what they say goes. It's a bit like screaming at the referee that it isn't a penalty, but unfortunately, if he points at the spot then it's a penalty, end of, and trying to point out that the offence was committed five yards outside the box isn't going to change things. tup
Fair enough but we've seen plenty evidence of the level of rule bending or corruption the SFA were prepared to stoop to so I'd take anything they proclaim with a large dose of salt. Scotland is corrupt but a lot of its citizens are not fooled, only the neanderthal element buy it for real. Link to comment

Karl Fletcher
Well, if they are so desperate to be the same Club I don't expect to hear any complaints from the hun hordes when they are slapped with a 25 point deduction for going into administration. Dundee received -25 points for going into admin for a second time and we all the know the huns insist that everyone is treated the same. Lets seem them splutter their way through that one when it comes up Link to comment

Couldn't we just drop them back down to the fourth tier again? That would be hilarious. Keep them yo-yoing between the bottom two divisions in perpetuity. I can think of no more deserving a bunch. Edited for retardedness: third tier? Ooops... Link to comment
