Andy_123
No danger they are getting anything like £20-25m for him. Despite what they say, they can’t afford to turn down anything much over £10m. Link to comment

Ollie McFuckinburnie went for £20million and however much it pains to say it.....Morelos is light years ahead of him as a player. Unless he cops a career ending injury, sevco are going to make a killing on him over what they paid. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Sadly they look old they might pull it off. It's not right but spending millions they don't have year on year on year has brought them to a point where they aren't breaking even yet but europa money IS helping and they are 1 result away from it really helping and 1 rich club needing a striker away from cashing in on the one singing gamble that's really paid off. It makes a total mockery of what football is about but these cunts know how to play that off field game, roll in the shit and come out smelling of roses. Which is why they are so easy to hate. Although I still think clubs will see him as having less pedigree than Dembele or Edouard so maybe about £15m? Link to comment

The club that needs £10m to square the books up before the end of the season?Exactly yes. Died = still allowed to pretend to be the same and treated thus by the authorities and media In huge debts every year, building a team fuelled on debt to gain advantage over everyone else = but never questioned by the media or held to any financial fair play system Requiring more cash injections this year again = but likely to recoup plenty in Europe and probably player sales, neither of which would have been possible without the massive unrestricted overspend Our sport is a shambles, teams that gamble everything succeed in the face of those that try to build properly and responsibly within their means. The club that needs £10m to square the books up before the end of the season?Don’t be holding your breath for the football authorities to investigate or do anything. The SFA failed to deal with “Rangers” cheating, EBT’s, ineligible players, dual contracts, & winning THIRTEEN trophies through all those things. They basically allowed “Rangers” to cheat. They were shit scared to do their job & punish them. So I wouldn’t be expecting them to do anything about SEVCO basically trading insolvent. The SFA are Masonic cunts.Scotland is a Masonic Country.Too many people will protect SEVCO, and not one single journalist will dare question the SEVCOnomics and the continual losses. A large part of the reason behind my rapidly dwindling interest in Scottish football & the Dons in general is down to the SFA, the protectionism & the complete obsession over having the duopoly. That, and the fact you get zero entertainment watching Aberdeen FC 1 Link to comment
slippers
There will get a large amount of money from Morelos but it really depends on what the situation is with the investors. They could claim a massive amount of it. His x team may have a 20-30% sell on clause? Could leave them with just enough to keep the lights on? As someone suggested earlier he is the only player of massive value, should they fail to replace him it would then become interesting. Imagine they invest heavily in summer and they fail to gain entry to europa groups! Would be catastrophic! Link to comment

Sheepo
Big English clubs won't spend 40-50m on a player because he has scored goals in SPFL and Europa League, he may get a Crystal Palace or a Newcastle for 15-20m Link to comment

slippers
I’d love that to be the case but in this market he’s worth realistically 25m. No way in hell they would accept anything near 10m. His ex club have confirmed that they do have a sell on clause. The sun have estimated that it’s 10%. Haha Link to comment

See what the huns are made of. If they do indeed need the money so desperately then would they risk holding out and maybe not selling him? 1 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
It would give them a massive boost not to sell him. Stupid cunts would think they’ve retained a £squillions rated player for their tilt at the top when the reality is they don’t, yet, have a bid. Downside of course is a/ they need the cash and b/ per above the position with the investors isn’t yet clear if they’re requiring repayment. My guess on b for what it’s worth is they won’t until 9IAR is decided one way or the other. European last 32 might just bail them out. Young boys game is huge for them. Link to comment
Ten Caat
Exactly. They also know sevco need £10million to keep the lights on so why spend more? I keep coming back to this.....yes they need £10 million but the cash from Europa League games doesn't show on the accounts. There is your £10 million. They're making as near as damn £2million for each home game they play, not even counting their prize money they get for each point they accrue. If they qualify, as seems likely....the £10million will be totally covered Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Not quite. Last years similar windfall is accounted for. The £10m is in addition to that which is where the last 32 (which they didn’t get to previously) comes into it. In very simple terms they spent the group revenue just getting there. They’ve spent an additional £10m on Hollander and Kent to get beyond that which, frustratingly, seems to have paid off for them. But the £10m now needs covering. Link to comment
slippers
I thought the europa league revenue would of been accounted for certainly the group stage money anyway. As the tickets were already sold a long time ago. Thought it was 10m ontop of what was projected if you like? Link to comment

We reportedly turned down offers of around half that for scott mckenna! He’s the second most valuable player in Scotland only behind edouard who is pushing 30-35m. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Who's going to pay 35m for Eduoard? To put that in perspective that's more than half of the English Premier league clubs' record transfer fees. And almost twice Southampton'record transfer fee and they are a club that have taken a punt on the best scottish league talent in recent years. I just don't think he's consistent enough to command that type of fee directly from the Scottish league Link to comment
