Compared to everyone else we seem ok going into next season. If we can keep our squad fit (haha) for most of the season I could see 2013/14 being very successful

Shame we'll have our standard 10 players injured for about 3 months

I wouldn't go that far.

Looking at our list there are at least 5 players there out of contract that would or should be definite first 11 picks at the moment if fit.

Watched aluko for hull and based on that he's a superior player to Hayes or Fraser

Aye?

All I know is from what I saw him produce for AFC.

And from that evidence Aluko is pish in comparison to those two.

If he is as good as that at Hull it just proves one thing.

That he was a complete prick who had the ability but obviously couldn't be bothered applying it when he was here.

Arsehole.

I agree, but you won't convince those who only remember his "attitude" at Aberdeen, much of which was down to poor management in any case.

His bad attitude is down to him having, well, a bad attitude, and being completely unprofessional. No matter how much of an arsehole his manager may or may not have been should never stop him from giving anything less than 100% when he played. He had a duty to you, me and every other mug that contributed to his over inflated wages to do so. He didn't.

That makes him a cunt, in my eyes.

But you don't dispute he is a very skilled footballer. And don't they all have over inflated wages?

Holy Moly...Ex-Squaddie alert...do people actually still believe the above... Ollie rules(of) Football...Man management is the most important tool to achieve successes...in any situation let alone football...are you from the 1940's Ollie?

is it?

What about determination and self discipline?

These days...I don't think so chief...the world and the punters in it have changed...Kids have been "fu*ked up" by Blair's Britain where no-one loses and no-one ever gets pushed too hard...it's just the way it is.

Ps.I remember Rico once telling me about Booth and Jess near to tears after a verbal blast from WM...You can shout and push a young laddie dragged up in the North of England pretty hard...but fanny boys from Aberdeen and surrounding who have never seen a "hard time" have to be treated the way they need to be treated...I don't envy any cu*t trying to get the best out of Aberdeen youth these days.

So what was Aluko's excuse then?

Just look at the statistics for "NEETS" (youngsters not in education, employment or training). They may never be employable due to their "attitude problems". In a similar way, the hungriness has gone from a lot of young footballers, and may be the reason why so many never make it or seek the quick buck like our recent examples like Grimmer, Fyvie and Fraser. They will always take the easy route.

Whatever Aluko's issues were with Aberdeen, it is obvious that those who were meant to be coaching and developing him didn't help at all. If he keeps free of injury, he could easily be an EPL star next season.

A fanny boy then?

Yes...as was being discussed...these types need more than normal from the Management team as they have no ambition or drive because it's all been handed on a plate...The boy McManus seems to be the latest to fall foul of the antiquated "philosophy" currently being peddled down Pittodrie way.

No it's not.

Not to me anyway. Or probably anyone else.

How do you know for a fact that the coaching was askew?

He had already developed under us, and was a useful player.

Until he spat the dummy and decided he couldn't be bothered.

So he just decided one day that he wouldn't be motivated at Aberdeen. How do you explain the change in attitude at Rangers and Hull City?
