Let's All Laugh At Celtic.

What are the odds of ra sellic getting a penalty on Wednesday against Dundee?

12/5 on Paddy Power for there to be a penalty in the game.

Went back and skimmed the BBC reports of every Celtic game looking for referee faults. Results below:

For

  1. St Johnstone felt aggrieved when Dave Mackay was not awarded a penalty, with the captain later sent off in the incident that led to Biton's spot-kick.
  2. And, later, the right-back was dismissed for a challenge on Derk Boerrigter, though replays suggested there had been little contact.
  3. The latter effort came from a counter-attack after referee Bobby Madden had waved away penalty claims following Filip Twardzik's challenge on Inverness youngster Ryan Christie.
  4. The Dons thought they should have had a penalty when McGinn's free-kick appeared to be handled by Commons and, moments later, McGinn had a shot deflected over from Rooney's knockdown.
  5. When Forrest, having been enlivened by the goal, struck another effort on target, the ball spun off the hand of Victor Genev. The defender claimed that the contact was accidental, but the referee Alan Muir pointed to the spot.
  6. Not mentioned by the BBC was the corner that led to their winner at Pittodrie but Stevie bloody Wonder could see that was a goal kick.

Against

  1. Guidetti, with his back to goal, flicked up a Johansen pass and found the net with an overhead kick but the offside flag had already been raised. However, television replays suggested the Swede had been onside.
  2. Scepovic thought he had reduced Celtic's deficit when he finished crisply from Izaguirre's chested pass, but the offside flag cut short the substitute's celebrations. However, television replays showed the Serbian had been onside.
  3. Tempers were briefly inflamed, since Guidetti twice claimed for a penalty moments later, the second after claiming that he had been tripped inside the area. This prompted a furious response from Draper, and both were booked for squaring up to each other.

So aye... About that letter...

Pudgie, Brown's challenge on Dow in the final of the league cup, Brown's challenge on Ciftci that lead to the whole hoo-ha in that game (and sending off of incorrect Dundee United player), Biton's handball against us (not clear cut, but would be a pen the other way). You could go on all day about decisions that benefitted them.

Go in to 5.10 in this clip as well...

Game finished 3-3 and went to injury time, with Commons scoring Celtic's third, with his hand?

I meant to say I was only covering league games. Means it's fair with it all being from the same pool of refs. And Biton's handball, I felt the right decision was made by the ref. it would have been justified for us to get a pen, but it wouldn't have been the correct decision.

Also, probably an attempt to apply pressure on referees in the run in. The whole hoorah will have referees erring on Celtic's side, will be interesting to see what happens when the first club gets a bad decision against them. Dignified silence or jump on the bandwagon. Will probably happen against Dundee United and they'll be straight on it.

The cunts complained about refereeing bias 4 or 5 years back. Lennon I think it wis.

Fit happened very next game?

Celtic v Aberdeen. A penalty for absolutely fuck all. Nothing.

1-0 them.

Final score.

Had a quick look at one of the tim forums, they had a thread titled 'top ref incidents that have cost us recently'. First one mentioned David Weir taking down Maloney! how many years ago would have that been? They were obviously struggling for incidents.

Only lasted a minute or so on the site, it's fuckin rabbid.

Total Stupidity from the SFA

The compliance officer is now citing for handballs

Alleged Party in Breach: Josh Meekings (Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC)
Match: Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Celtic (Scottish Cup) – Sunday, 19th April 2015

Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached:

Disciplinary Rule 200: In that at the above match you did deny the opposing team an obvious goal scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball

Fixed Suspension offer: Yes – one match (within the Scottish Cup)

Principal Hearing date: Thursday, 23rd April 2015

Mr Meekings has until 3pm on Wednesday, 22nd April 2015 to respond to the complaint.

And that's without taking the Refs report - if the Ref comes out and says "I saw it and didn't think it was deliberate in line with out guidance which requires a deliberate movement" then this is dead in the water

Will every handball now go to the compliance officer for a verdict?

Good on Caley

CLUB STATEMENT : JOSH MEEKINGS

"Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm that it has declined the fixed one match suspension offer in relation to the Notice of Complaint issued to Josh Meekings following an alleged breach of Disciplinary Rule 200 at the ICTFC v Celtic game on Sunday, 19th March 2015."

“The club intends to vigorously defend our player and is taking legal advice on the issue."

“We are extremely disappointed that this has arisen and the player himself is mentally shattered at the turn of events."

“Josh is keen to appear in person at the disciplinary hearing and we will most strongly support him by all means available.”

I know it might sound a little daft but really we should as FANS show some support to Meekings regarding this ludicrous decision by the SFA. This is stupidity of the highest order and impacts on all of us when one club is making it up as they go along

still waiting for the compliance officer citing Zalukas for going straight through the caley player in a very dangerous manner.

Surely if you are citing for a handball that denied a penalty you should cite a goal keeper avoiding a penalty while halfing a player in a futile attempt to get the ball - this was much more dangerous than Robsons red card (which we are also appealing)

It's up to the clubs to retaliate by demanding inquiries into every dubious decision that goes Celtic's way, and every horrific tackle perpetrated by a Celtic player that goes unpunished... the SFA would get pretty fucking tired fielding a never-ending litany of complaints against the green Huns.

Of course history shows that our clubs won't do that. History shows that they'll bend over and take it up the arse.
