"There is a balance between trying to go out and win games and have a look at players who are out of contract or have a look at young players. Hopefully we will get the balance right in the final four games.

"We will try and give an opportunity to the players who are out of contract and we will blood some of the youngsters as well. We will look at some of the young boys who we think might be part of the squad for next season to see how they do."

McInnes is going about things the right way. As long as he actually does that I don't mind at all.

You're going to a wedding anyway FFS.

I've a wedding dance tomorrow. Where's your wedding at?

Indeed.

Marriot in Dyce.

Yourself?

Banff. Just the dance. On my own though as the wife is away all weekend on an unrelated (obviously) hen night.

I've had a haircut as well.

Hopefully your Algerian experience is still fresh in the memory, free booze all night for Boofon!

Yep. He made the point in the rest of the interview that while yes it's important for finances for the club to finish higher up his budget was set when he signed up, whether they finished in top 6 or bottom 6 so he doesn't care - about his team - for finishing position.

That is a sound move from Milne: let the guy figure out the team properly for the remainder of this season and do what everyone else should be doing, and judging him on next season.
