boboisared
Why have Celtic only played 4 games? This may have been asked before but can't be assed scrolling. Is it nae to do with the youth Champions League? Link to comment
The Cockney Don
Is it nae to do with the youth Champions League?and International call-ups. Couple of games have been called off for neither of them reasons though. They'll have a lot of games to make up in a short space of time so they'll lose a few. If we can go say a 9-2-2 record from our last 13 games then we'll run 'em close for the title.Got to play them twice. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Why did Rangers and Celtic get top level status/funding from Project Brave when one doesn't want to support the development league in this country and the other treats it like an inconvenience? Is it all a trojan horse for the "colt" teams in the lower divisions? Link to comment

aberdeen1970
Why do people hate the colt teams idea so much?Because I think it's only designed so Rangers and Celtic can make more money. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Why do people hate the colt teams idea so much?Because inevitably it will only be made available to Rangers and Celtic. Plus its really just another way for these clubs to further turn the heads of supporters away from their local teams. Link to comment

BWG
Because inevitably it will only be made available to Rangers and Celtic. Plus its really just another way for these clubs to further turn the heads of supporters away from their local teams. So make it open to anybody who wants to do it, like Spain, Portugal, Germany and fuck knows how many other leagues do. Particularly if their big teams get a shift. Colt teams are their insurance policy because they know theyd get found out. So make a rule that a colt team can only exist if their parent club are playing in the SPFL. The paranoia surrounding the idea of colt teams is weird IMO. It seems the best way to get our youths playing proper football and producing better talent. Link to comment

Plus its really just another way for these clubs to further turn the heads of supporters away from their local teams. That's incorrect but the reality is only a handful of teams could afford to run one. That's the issue. Link to comment

It seems the best way to get our youths playing proper football and producing better talent.Theres no paranoia involved. We all know from experience exactly how the SFA and SPFL would approach this and its certainly not going to be with a new found sense of equality for all clubs. I like the idea of colt teams itself, I just dont believe theyd be properly implemented in Scotland. And I think the point about teams losing even more fans to the OF still stands, in a few years clubs like Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Airdrie, Patrick whatever would be badly affected as many of their fans decide they want to watch Celtic/Rangers colts. So it gets used by the OF as another way to screw everyone else. Not against it in principal just to many ways it will be twisted to suit those 2 teams. Link to comment
