muttonhumper
Big one for us this.I do think that, despite our injuries, we have a team capable of going there and winning.Yes, they are undefeated, but I think that is more by good luck than any sort of sizzling form.Very lucky to avoid defeat when United & ICT went there, and of course, failed to score v Falkirk in the Cup. I think we should be playing 3 CBs for this one.Celtic scored four v Ross Co the other week. All from crosses/headers.Our capitulation down there from 3-1 up earlier this year was exactly the same.Falkirk also congested the central defensive area attacking any cross ball coming in with numbers.Against Motherwell, also a team who like to get plenty crosses into the box, we nullified their effect almost completely by having the 3 CBs deployed in there even with the 10 men.We have strong players in that area. Clearly we have to be powerful in there to combat their obvious strength.Play 2 wing backs (CBs) also strong in the air to give ourselves best chance of winning this pivotal battle.Oh aye. And try and keep 10 men on the pitch. That'll increase our chances even more. Get Hayes and Mcginn advanced as much as possible every time the ball heads towards Zola.Watched his first half performance very closely last week.Every single time the ball was played forward to him, he retained it, and forwarded to a team mate.Cannot recall him giving up possession even once. Langfield Hector ... Anderson... Considine Shaughnessy ............................................ Reynolds Pawlett ... Jack Hayes .......................................... McGinn Godzilla COYR Link to comment

Tord31
Not sure I agree with the 3/5 at the back. Celtic will have one eye on Milan - we have a chance. Link to comment
DD1903
5-4-1 has failed us countless times in the past when playing sellik or the dead rangers, so I don't see how it will work this time. It invariably results in a defensive performance that invites pressure. I would rather see us having a go. Link to comment
zander
Got my ticket on Thursday not sure how we are getting down yet. Link to comment
buchanskii
Looking forward to this. Celtic know the league is theirs and csn pretty much afford just to dismissal us and focus on thr the champions league game, making them vulnerable. This game will be the making of Zola Paedoes 0-4 dons. Link to comment

It invariably results in a defensive performance that invites pressure. I would rather see us having a go. So true. You have got to keep the ball and show the audacity to put them under pressure. If we cant force the game into their half, we will concede a goal a some point, even if on the whole we defend well. We need our best players - Reynolds, Anderson, Pawlett, Mcginn and Hayes - to play at the top of their game, and for the rest to do the simple things right. With both Flood and Robson out we could well see players like Low, Masson and Clark make an appearance. Would be great to go down there and win anyway. COYR Link to comment
the_shrimp
1-0 the dons. Big stinkin Zola heider! Link to comment
Jack_Glass
we'll likely get a red card and get pumped 3-0 Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
1-0 the dons. Big stinkin Zola heider! If Zola scores it will not be a header (at least not deliberately) He's the worst heider of the ball I've ever witnessed. The Partick heider (his first for us) was a freak occurrence Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
we'll likely get a red card Aye! If we can avoid losing men, I can envisage 1-0 to us in a cagey performance. Link to comment
muttonhumper
Chuffed you all agree with my theory on why we should consider playing 3 x CBs then. Link to comment
Tord31
Two players that may be on the radar for this one: Jamie Masson & Chris Clark Anyone think of any other teams in england or scotland that have players who have scored for the club in the past but not made a single match day squad this season? K-9
Chuffed you all agree with my theory on why we should consider playing 3 x CBs then. Said it on other thread - with players available for this one 3 central defenders might be the best way forward. Link to comment

Hewitt1983
Wish I shared the confidence of some on here. Our recent record against these fucking cunts is nothing short of appalling and despite our reasonable start to the season I cannot just forget years of stage fright and pumpings just like that. I think we'll get beat but I would love to be wrong and watch us give these bastards a long overdue going over. Link to comment
Dynamo
Might as well go down with confidence and the mindset that we can get a result. Nothing to lose, we're expected to get beat anyway. Link to comment
Tommy
I've went down there expecting to get beat.Getting 9 and 7 put past us was a bit over the fuckin top. Link to comment
DandyDon KD
Buzzing for this one. Never been to Parkheed before, should be a good atmosphere. Would be brilliant if we could get a win but it'll be a tough game for both teams, especially us. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
As long as we go there and try and play some football I'll be happy. It's a long season and I'd be happy with anywhere in the top 3... this result isn't going to be pivotal. We've got decent points in the bag so play football and the result will take care of itself! Not many teams are going to get points at the tattie bowl..... Link to comment
buchanskii
I'll be there Won't be particularly bothered if we lose, as long as we look solid defensively i.e. no individual mistakes (I'm looking at you clangers) and so long as we look dangerous on the few attacks that we will have. They are lightyears ahead of us, and don't think any of our players would get in their best XI. Still, if they have an off day we can capitalise! Link to comment
ollie1903
I disagree with what you wrote. I don't think they are lightyears ahead at all.I agree with what you wrote Link to comment
