starryfish
May as well get the match thread started in good time. Nicky Low definitely misses out but big Joe and Considine could return after missing out against St Johnstone. Don't think Anderson will be physically able to play at Celtic Park and then at Tannadice three days later. I'd line up like this: LangfieldJack Logan Flood Considine Reynolds McGinn RobsonRooneyPawlettHayes Jack to right back and Logan to left back with Considine and Robson coming in for Anderson and Robertson from those who started against St Johnstone. Tord31
think we should shuffle the pack a wee bit for this one. Save Robson for Tannadice though Link to comment

Save Robson for Tannadice thoughI'd like to see this done too but looking at the bench yesterday I'm not sure we have sufficient quality in reserve to be able to do so. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
I predict the usual line up and the usual game plan 2-0 Celtic, Commons & Griffiths Looking forward to this season ending. Hope we can snatch 2nd. It's fairly fizzling out though. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
2-1 to The Dons, Smeltic are shite - stop believing their hype you pooves. Considine double. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
This will be a real test for us. Would be typical Aberdeen to go and draw so many matches against supposedly lesser teams before getting a great result against a team like Celtic. Will obviously have to wait and see if that does happen to materialize but I'm sure we'll put in our best performance for a while (probably since we last played them) as we have no pressure on us to win and therefore nothing to lose in that sense. I like the idea of Jack occupying the right back role whilst Logan moves in to left back. I can see us being very well organised and hard to break down looking to hit them on the counter which could suit us for once as we seem to be the team trying to break most teams down. I would be happy with a draw. Feel we will be relying on other results going our way for the next few games as well as us putting in a performance. Can see the following lining up on Sat: Langfield Logan Reynolds Anderson Considine Flood Jack Pawlett McGinn Hayes Rooney Link to comment

CalgaryDon
Robson will be in from the start.Would like Robson start although we may rest him with Utd on tuesday night. Also heard Considine will miss out on sat so maybe Jack at right back could be a reality. Link to comment
Tord31
Need to wait for the team news on this one but I've changed mind on resting Robson. Three man midfield of Flood, Robson and Jack for this one. One of Rooney, McGinn, Pawlett or Hayes to be benced - controversial! Link to comment
StandFree1982
As long as we don't have Robertson at LB then we can hopefully get a draw or scrape a win. If Robertson get's given another start then we could see a cricket score. No offence if you are looking in Clark, it's just that you aren't very good. Link to comment

Hewitt1983
I have a feeling we'll draw as well for some reason. Early goal for them. Rooney to equalise just before half-time. Training exercise in the second half for both teams. Which will do us just fine. But I absolutely detest Sellick so I hope we hump them again Link to comment
Site Sponsor RTYD Posted April 29, 2014 Site Sponsor Share Posted April 29, 2014 We have nothing left in the tank. A draw would be great. Link to comment
StandFree1982
We've done much better in games against the better teams in the Scottish League such as Motherwell, Celtic and Dundee United. It's just unfortunate we're playing away in two of them. Both United and Celtic won't be looking forward to playing us either, despite recent form we are still more than capable of beating all three. rossafc92
Not running on empty fitness wise, but certainly seem to be running on empty in terms of ideas. Link to comment
Dynamo
In a Johnny Hayes interview on RedTV, he said he didn't understand why people say that the team is running on empty and said the claims are ridiculous. We've got Graham Kirk in and all the players say they feel fit. We're definitely not running on empty. They're fresh out of ideas then going by current matches! Edit: Aye, what he said ^^. StandFree1982
McInnes has said him self that the players aren't shooting or crossing as often as they should. The weird thing is, since winning the League Cup we've looked a less confident side. Which is the exact opposite of what you'd expect from the squad. It's more mental than physical, not sure what's up with them. Link to comment
Stoneybloke
The malaise seems to stem from the Semi Final. I think that realising how easily St. Johnstone worked out how to counteract our tactics has led to a general loss of confidence in the team. Our game plan, such as it is, is now well out in the open and teams can be set up to make it fairly ineffective. Something radical is now needed to get over this, but it seems to be impossible, given our current resources. Link to comment
