Pudgie
We're no better than the average team that struggled along to the end of last season. We're actually arguably worse seen as Robson is nowhere near as good as he was tail end of season (when he picked us up & carried us through) & we've now lost Anderson. Goodwillie is a wasted signing if all it's done is fkd up Rooney's form.Brown was a bench signing at best.Taylor I am optimistic about but time will tell. As a whole we're the same at very best & that SAME side has been totally figured out by all our opposition because McInnes is found wanting tactically. The fact that McInnes has said he's likely not signing anyone else this window tells me he's failed this window. This team as is will not finish second (closer to celtic either) & win another cup. So assuming that:Goodwillie's pishRooney's pish because Goodwillie's hereRobson's pishAnderson's finishedBrown won't featureTaylor won't make a differenceAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDWe won't make any signings I'd agree and say that yes, we are probably worse off than last season. But seen as most of the 7 assumptions will most likely be false, I'd say we'll be ok. 1 Link to comment

Tord31
One thing don't agree on is we won't finish 2nd. Bookies favourites too and rightly so we have a far better squad than most which should tell over the season. We should be getting AT LEAST around the same points again which will be in or around 2nd come the last game. Link to comment

Even totally without Robson & Anderson I think the squad is good enough to get second. Link to comment

He has no plan B & his plan A just will not accumulate as many points this time around. Time to cash in on him whilst he's still popular & before he's completely found out. Adams is available now, so we wouldn't be totally fkd Link to comment

On saturday we were missing anderson, flood and monakana. Hayes went off injured and Shankland (who would get a game at plenty spl clubs) was in the stand. Link to comment

I still think they will make top six but not much better.Dundee will finish higher than Well.Utd are the main team for second imo, as Caley will soon tail off. We will be lucky to stay anywhere near Utd imo unless we get in some decent improvements in this window & McInnes learns how to mix things up a little 1 Link to comment
Pudgie
Have you hijacked Jimmy's tactical tombola and are using it for opinions about Aberdeen? Just throw in a heap of negative shite and post about whichever one you pick out? 1 Link to comment

TwoStars
Worst transfer window in McInnes's time as manager. That includes when he signed Ricky Foster.Very strange one. Maybe he has complete confidence in Shankland and Wright to change the season because other them two I can't see anything else worthy of a shout. Link to comment

CalgaryDon
Lost no-one of any note Gained better competition than what we had in every area. Not exactly a disaster as we never signed any Ricky Fosters at all. I think you're overreacting (just for a change)Aberdeen should have taken advantage of this transfer window and really strengthened. Ideal time considering Hearts, Hibs, The Rangers are all in the championship along with the fact that Motherwell/ St Johnstone have both lost key players to their squad. We clearly require a left back and indications are that once Robertson has fully recovered from his injury, he'll be filling that position. Utd have strengthened their side (mainly defence) and would be favourites for 2nd for me. We have retained our first team squad which is why there is not such an urgency in transfer activity. Tord31
While certainly not being as pessimistic as some posters around here have to say I am very disappointed we didnt move for a left back this summer or strengthen any first pick position. Yes we signed Logan which is great but other than that subs only Other than Logan every other signing weve made id rather we'd brought in a left back. Curious decison for Mcinnes to not take one at all as presumably plenty offers from england with low contribution to wages Link to comment

barnared
I might be in a minority but im honestly not that bothered that we didnt bring any loaners in. I think we have a strong squad and if we have injuries we bring in players from the under 20s to cover. Link to comment
