Still got down Considine as first choice left back but obviously things not shaping up like that - one area to watch.

 

Obviously we are still targeting at least two more players - a left back and another option in attacking midfield

Its a mix of my opinion and what is actually happening. Stick on Langfield is in sticks for the July fixtures I am afraid. Think it is looking that way for the august fixtures aswell but we will see

He'll last the first game against the Jutes if he doesn't cost us Groningen before then. After that he's out hopefully.

Despite McInnes saying we will only sign one more player it has generally been accepted we'll get two. Those being a left back and an additional player for the three behind the striker in McInnes' preferred 4-2-3-1.

 

Observations from watching our first three games of the season would be if, big IF, we could sufficiently replace Johnny Hayes then perhaps we can leave him at left back and sign two further attacking options.

 

Also it is interesting we have no targetman this season must be first time in my time. Not even any one to launch ball at in desperation - a big statement if we keep as is.

I reckon one more permanent signing if right player comes along (hopefully left back) and a loan signing, which will be a young attacking midfielder in mould of the Wolves guy. If we could achieve this then would be more than happy with squad for this season.

Surely easier and also mair sensible to sign a proper left back, then to play Hayes there and replace him at left wing?

Yes I agree but we seem to be struggling to sign a good defender. No brainer if we can sign someone as good as Logan and a lot better than Hayes for left back but wont be a doddle as he is not too shabby there.
