looksgoodinred
Suicide is just such a waste. And always sad that someone feels so little hope that things will change. RIP Mork. x Link to comment

Guest
Genius is often accompanied by madness. The yin and the yang. The price paid for the gift. Wonderful man. A troubled spirit but a phenomenal actor and comedian. This is shocking but not surprising. Tragic waste. Link to comment

dervish
Jim Jeffries is a personal fav. I'm not sure if Williams would have made the joke about prising an anal egg out his arse with chopsticks on day 3 of its incarceration. However I like to think he approved. Link to comment

BrianFaePerth
Disappointed it wasn't Robbie Williams. Must admit to doing a double-take when reading the headlines this morning. Wouldn't have been fussed if it had been him. Link to comment
Jonty
Flubbergasted. Its not that surprising, he's committed career suicide several times, as you'd know if you had sat through Bicentennial Man. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
That Robbie Williams is a fuckin' prick. I lost 20 quid because of him. I didn't know he was in Take That and bet someone twenty quid on it. We asked each of the next ten or so folk that came into the bar which band Robbie Williams used to be in. They all said Take bloody That. ChutneyLove 20 quid down. I've hated him intensely since. Robin Williams was alright I suppose. Loved Mork and Mindy when I was younger, but watched an episode nae that long ago and it has aged - it is shite. Link to comment

See, a lot are saying this however most don't know other people and their problems well enough, I suffer from depression and have been suffering for over a year now due to various things, I mention it now and then but it's not something that others find easy to talk about. Guest
Did people suffer from depression 50 years ago? If so, why would it be a multi-zillion fold increase in the modern era? Piss-weak people looking for a cop out? Or pharma giants looking to make money and being helped along by the compliant NHS? Link to comment

This is because the majority of us are thinking get a fucking grip o yersel. You're the one going to the doctor and saying that you think you're a curtain. We know - or have been conditioned by the nanny state to know - that the truth is too brutal for the shrinking little flowers to take. That's why we skirt around your "problem". And that's why you make no progress. Link to comment
Guest
My wife and I had been talking about the prospect of emigrating. After we saw Dead Poets Society, we carpe diemed and I put in for a transfer request. I guess I have Robin Williams to thank. Two of my daughters were born in Oz and I might not have gone there but for that movie. Link to comment
daytripping
Don't agree with you there RS, not that you'll mind. Not something I suffer from but it is a very real illness, I'm far from an expert but know it can be caused by a chemical in-balance in the brain, some of the modern drugs can work miracles. The old pull yourself together may be the answer in some cases but not the majority. Just my humble opinion. Link to comment
Guest
Neurology or psychology or a mix between the two? It's a problematical diagnosis. As Williams has proved, it is indeed a very real condition, as it always was. Too many cunts these days are copping out and using the NHS as a crutch. Every GP will tell you this. Link to comment
