He played 60 minutes at the Euros, sure he can manage to help us get to the group stages, that is more important at the minute.

This is what's going to happen. We will play mcginn every game, trying to get to group stage. When we don't make it, the same folk saying now that he should play all the games will turn round and say that mcinnes should have rotated.

The same thing will happen with the people saying he should be rested, when we don't qualify - but of course, in the vice versa situation

2) Given they can win this 1st QR tie do we play our strongest team? Answer again must be yes

 

One away goal makes all the difference with one away gaol they will need to score four times.

 

Get the away goal and remove him at half time, for QR2 put him on the bench

I wouldn't rest anyone based on the game at Pittodrie. I thought we looked rather shite considering it was a part time team we were playing. I wouldn't risk it.

Pawlett or Wright should be more than good enough for those full backs and the rest of the team is strong enough to win comfortably over there- 6 or 7 goals would not have flattered us in the 1st leg

DM will play the best possible team and that'll probably be the mainstay starting 11 for most of the season, no ones going to get 'rested' because the team is blatantly not up to speed/sharpness yet

Muscle fatigue is more important than people realise- I'm sure McGinn will have the fitness but we're more likely to risk a longer term injury playing him

We really should be resting McGinn in the event that we may overburn him and potentially cause an injury. We still need to put a strong side out however as anything can happen and Fola still need to be respected. Hope to see O'Connor, Alexander and Stockley to start.

They're already 2-0 down to the Russians, they won't be coming back from that.
