fine-n-dandy
Anyone else think that Ryan Christie looks a wee bit like Lee Evans? Especially that photo of him holding the stand free scarf aloft in the paper lol Link to comment
tightbreeks
If Christie added a bit of brylcreem to his hair, he'd a definite 50's Rock n roll vibe. This lad could get us second place and maybe even a cup. Things are looking tip top at the moment. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Careful. I know what you mean but the tims won't need any encouragement to say it's down to them and the Huns likewise. That would be grossly unfair on the others. Said at the time he was a more robust, game-aware Maddison. Link to comment
Tord31
I still reckon we've a good chance of getting christie next season I can't really see anyway he'll make it at celtic in the short term Link to comment

Bit of a catch 22 really.Better he does, less chance we have of keeping him. 1 Link to comment
dj_bollocks
What Rodgers will do a good job of is commoditising their players... Basically do what Chelsea and all the EPL clubs do... Become famous for providing a good flow of talent and reap the benefits of that. Buy 'em cheap (or develop them as home grown) and sell 'em high... Let's face it whoever signed Dembele should get a knighthood for them... Christie will be a good English Championship player for them signed on the cheap (Bosman was it ?) and punted for a few million plus add ons... Link to comment
Tord31
Did you not say same about maddison?I certainly said that about Maddison re the second half of the season given he could only play for Norwich or Aberdeen and I really couldn't see him getting any gametime for Norwich this season. I certainly never said that about Maddison long term as I think he is more likely to stick it out down there Link to comment
Tord31
but in terms of christie you just wonder if for one reason or another he doesnt play for celtic june-august what are his options gonna be on august 31st? Link to comment
slinkyvagabond
Honestly wouldnt be surprised if we get Christie back on loan next season, early days but I just have a feeling... Link to comment
Tord31
just had a look how Maddison has been getting on - he hasnt made a match day squad for Norwich since August Link to comment
BWG
just had a look how Maddison has been getting on - he hasnt made a match day squad for Norwich since AugustPretty sure he knew that would be the case when he said he wasn't coming back. Playing reserve games for Norwich is preferable to having teams take turns hacking you down and then being booked for the privilege. No ill will towards the boy at all. Link to comment
slinkyvagabond
Totally agree. He didnt fancy coming back but thats completely his choice. We should be thankful for that free kick against Sevco which wont be forgotten in a hurry. All the best James. Link to comment
KidCreole
Todays performance seemed to show us why he is on loan, Fair play to the guy but he never really got a hold of the game, I guess the comparison between him and Maddison seems more apt now def a super sub Link to comment

G31DON
Was impressed with his work rate and pressing today, ran his socks off. One of those matches for the whole team when nothing quite clicked though. Link to comment

Pudgie
I cant see him getting any chance at celtic at the start of next season I reckon they'll be signing more players of Sinclair/Dembele qualityAgreed. It seems like he was perfect for what Deila wanted but now they have Desmond bankrolling Rogers and Sinclair on £35k a week, the standard of player they are looking at is far above what Ryan Christie offers.
