OddJob
Incredible news, as said I wasn't expecting this at all. Fantastic positivity from the club in recent week after what looked like it might be a nervy pre-season Link to comment

Tyzo_1903
Good signing as I feared he might run down his contract or hold us to ransom to sign on. Best keeper in years so happy days. Not sure what Rogers will make of that? I would be very surprised if there wasn't a release clause in such a long deal. I think we should try and loan out Rodgers to a Premier team this season, give him more experience. If Lewis has another great season I can see a lot of teams looking at him, at least we would have a decent replacement in Rodgers who should be ready to be No. 1 in a season or so and hopefully by then we get quite a bit of cash from a transfer fee too. The Cockney Don
Well done to Super Joe Lewis who has been named "Star Man" in the SPFL Team of the Week ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3k-x2Z5wQA Link to comment
Lencarl
Kris Commons : “There were whispers around Celtic Park that we were actually looking at him last season. He’d certainly acquired the attention of our scouts and the people in at Celtic". When he goes, let's hope it is down south. No other club in Scotland could afford the transfer fee apart from Celtic. Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Bound to happen really, very good goalkeeper. Hopefully we stay strong in demanding good transfer fees from down south now, after seeing the amount of money chucked at dross like Aluko it clear that money is no object to many of these clubs - a player like Lewis we should be looking for £5m+ Link to comment
TheRock
Reminder that Craig Gordon cost Sunderland 9m and that was 10 years ago Link to comment
For Fecks Sake
We should be demanding 4m plus for Lewis , not a penny lessFuck starting that low, 8 million minimum I reckon. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
We should be demanding 4m plus for Lewis , not a penny less That valuation feels about right to me, talks start at £4m otherwise GTF. Link to comment
TheRock
Yep, think we should be wanting silly money. Craig Gordon £9m 10 years ago. Fraser Forster £10m. Joe Lewis is as good as those two and under contact for another 3 years. Link to comment
S2RDS
Just a £1m offer and Milne will start to cream. I would value him realistically at around £3-4m based on how good he is, however we dont seem to attract big transfer fee's at all. Link to comment
TheRock
I guess what we really need is at least two clubs to want him so we can get what he's actually worth. Would rather he stayed instead of 3/4m as even with McInnes' track record of unearthing gems, think he would be extremely tough to replace. Even under McInnes goalkeeper has been a problem position for us until Joe came along. 8-10m and we can talk. Link to comment
craegDAMH
£8m... jesus We'd get £2.5m to £3m if we're lucky. Link to comment
ebbe
£8million is cheap. The man should be the England keeper. Link to comment
TheRock
Lol Got to love football fans Gordon was 20 Forster consistently did it in champions league 4mGordon may have been younger but the financial situation in English football is very different to 10 years ago. And have a look at what 10m actually buys you in England now. Worse players than Joe, I imagine you'd agree? Maybe not. I don't really know what difference age plays anyway as Joe could sign a 4 year contract at a Villa and he's still plenty young enough that Villa would get his best years out of him. Maybe I am getting over excited to say 8/10m but I don't see why we should whip off our panties at the any offer either just because it's seven figures and we're not used to it. Link to comment
