Watched Hibs vs the tribute act last night and Ive no idea how they lost. Think they hit the post about 3 times. They have a lot of pace going forward, the boy Brandon barker is lightning quick. Not sure how to call this one. Admittedly only saw the highlights but we looked excellent against saints, Christie really is superb when he is in full flow. Was arnason playing in midfield alongside McLean with AOC at centre half? Id go with the same line up regardless and get plenty shots off at their keeper who is absolutely mince.

I think the two games against celtic and rangers will take it's toll on Hibs. Plus I don't think we will let Hibs midfield dominate like they did against rangers. It's worth noting hibs were shite against celtic for 60 minutes, should have been about 5-0 before they admittedly made a good comeback.

This may be where the battle may be won or lost. Logan and Shinnie will be key. Absolutely no chance Considine playing this one.

 

Hibs have impressed the last two games. Very sharp, very fit, quick of feet and quick of mind. As said before, this may be the best time to get them but they’ll not be as shite as the rest of the dross in the SPFL. Big test of character for AFC players and manager. And the assistant manager too I guess, and the many coaches and other hingers on that AFC fans pay the wages of.

 

The debate regarding the concept of whether or not this is or is not a “must win game” was mildly interesting. Ultimately it’s semantics and pedantry to delve into a “game type description”. Every fucking game is there to be won is what a winning mentality thinks, lives and breathes. It’s when you plan for a “must not lose” when the problems start, the best ever example being Ibrox May 91 unfortunately.
