Melbourne, in a few weeks for the Tennis.

Russia in June/July for the World Cup. Some friends have moved to Dubai recently, so will break-up the long-haul with a few days there...

Have a bit more time to kill during the middle of the year, so will probably visit friends and family in UK & Ireland. Maybe a few pit-stops, somewhere in Europe.

Looking to book 10 days or so going round a few places in Spain in September with the Mrs.

Thinking of going to Phoenix in April. Will head to Montreal in the summer to see Calgary Don. Taking a cruise in September. Starts in Mumbai then heads to Goa, Colombo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and ends in Bangkok. Likely go to Aberdeen for our annual trip in November.

Go to Durants restaurant in downtown Phoenix. It's the best, the locals say and we absolutely loved it. You enter through the kitchen and it's stunning food. The barman after our meal was a massive fat bastard. After the where you folks from he asked did you enjoy your meal? Fabulous I said but the portions were just too big. Huh he says, does that mean when I come to your country I'm going to be hungry all the time? I never had the heart to tell him the truth but quite clearly he would have been.

Stayed at Frank Lloyd Wright designed Arizona Biltmore. Stunning building and location.

He's got a lovely Chinese restaurant as well called 'Wan Phuckd Nee'.

Made up for two reasons;

The hun has 2 x r’s in his name and Chinese restaurants are called Pacific Rim over there.

Ask yourself, was that even a funny remark?

Did you just waste everybody’s time?

Since there was some holiday chat earlier thought it was best to start up this years holiday thread, anyone got anything planned?

Not made a decision yet myself but good chance I'll be back in Vegas before October, maybe a jaunt to somewhere in europe aswell.

Wheres Judith Chalmers and Cliff Mitchelmore when you need them?...ohhh look ,..their holidays better than ours...sad bastards..

Crieff Hydro is most definitely long in the tooth. I was there recently and the place is sorely in need of a refurb. Family owned and fully booked, so they're getting away with stained walls and threadbare carpets. Also huns I believe. The rooms are a fuckin' disgrace, the food is average pub-grub. I was told the lodges are just slightly better.

2018 holidays are the World Cup as a tourist (thanks to the wee ginger gobshite / Muttley) and The Rockies skiing.

Go and take a fuck to yourself.

I apologise. I misread the situation. I made a mistake. I'm sorry. It was insensitive of me. You're not a bad cunt. I am though.

We will prob take the car on the DFDS newcastle-amsterdam ferry route again. But instead of the German Reich, (which I like), this time the Mrs is wanting to try a specific holiday park in the Netherlands on the grounds that its good for families.

I quite enjoy the ferry - it can be expensive to take the car but the whole experience is absolute luxury compared to flying, albeit this route it an overnigher. Although nothing beats enjoying breakfast at the cabin window, as the ship arrives in Ijmuiden (Amsterdam).

I totally dig the "roll on / roll off" nature of the car ferry, none of this loitering for ages around baggage carousels etc, then fannying about laden with bags as you search for a taxi / bus / car hire. Roll on, roll off. Its fucking brilliant. (I like to pretend its the normandy landings  ) Also, the ferry food is excellent as is the freedom to roam, go on deck / sit at the bar etc. And the staff are great too, especially if you have a baby - staff falling over themselves to help.

Just booked Switzerland in September. Going to Sicily for the first time in May. Various other travel most weeks in between, which although it's "work" is like a long summer holiday punctuated by time at home.
