vanderark14
I think everyone knew Hibs would be well up for this today playing in front of a full house after losing 3 times out of 3 to us under Lennon and especially after that meek capitulation at Pittodrie in December. Sounds like they have risen to the challenge today and we just haven't matched their determination and desire. I think today is the first time in 11 league games we have lost at ER. Still very disappointing though today was a big game and a chance to make a statement and we've blown it. When Celtic inevitably turn us over next week Hibs might only be two points behind us.My thoughts exactly. I had a bad feeling about today, we have to pick ourselves up. Willie Miller was quite critical of keeping McLean for shouting at his team mates today, anyone know what it was all about? I only caught snippets of the game. Link to comment
Doncomitant
Undoubtedly Hibs have been better today. However where was evidence of Lennons great attacking team when we beat them twice this season?Just think people are so quick to make stupid sweeping judgements based on 1 game.Oh shut up. We beatsted them & they beasted us. The other game at ER was even, if not more Hibs except for one bit of brilliance by McLean & GMS. Cup game was fairly even also as any neutral would tell you. Stop being so biased. There really is very little if anything between the two sides. Link to comment
Singapore Steve
We seem to play a long ball game now. Today we created nothing going forward. Lost count of the number of times a long ball was punted high out to the wing position where GMS was. Link to comment
Zeus
Standard pish performance in a relatively big game. Glad I never went now Still in a hoorin bad mood Link to comment

BWG
It's all too familiar. A must win game coupled with a gutless performance, clueless substitutions and an all round inability from McInnes to win a crucial game. I don't want to be too critical of Chidi, as I suepect some will slaughter him. He's clearly lacking match fitness and sharpness. McInnnes could have got him some much needed minutes against Dundee United, but instead played Ball. We missed Shinnie badly and people may now realise what he gives us. We hardly won a second ball today. As for O'Connor... well... I never want to see that useless bastard in an Aberdeen shirt again. McInnes needs to go this Summer. He's gone as far as he can. It's going to be a shite couple of weeks to be an Aberdeen fan. The huns will go six points clear soon. We will finish 3rd at best. 1 Link to comment
DelMonte
McInnes will go in the summer IMO. Can't say I'd be bothered. 1 Link to comment

However where was evidence of Lennons great attacking team when we beat them twice this season? Just think people are so quick to make stupid sweeping judgements based on 1 game.I think the evidence is more in the fearless way Hibs have tackled the old firm this season rather than their games against ourselves. They have beaten the huns twice at Ibrox (should have beaten them at ER as well they battered them virtually the whole game) and have drawn twice against Celtic (very unlucky not to have beaten them at ER and have scored 2 or more goals against them on 3 separate occasions this season). Hibs have scored 12 goals in 7 games against the ugly sisters this season (2 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats) conceding 14 in the process. Compare that to our performances against them this season which is 5 games and 5 defeats, 1 goal scored (none from open play or against 11 men) and 13 goals conceded. 4 Link to comment
fifered
Very predictable result today. Have absolutely no confidence in this team going into a tough match, especially without shinnie. They don't have the heart for the fight. Link to comment
Oregon Red
Don't think I'll bother with the Alba full match rerun. That would be the sensible choice.Toothless performance all round. Only Woodman had a good performance Link to comment

Bamber
He's a left back play him there and sign some cunts that can play in midfield , is that fucking daft ? He was badly missed today in midfield Despite a number of good midfielders in our team he wasn't missed at Left back Link to comment

Even if we beat Killie way the draw has panned out there is a very strong chance we will need to beat both ugly sisters in Glasgow to win the cup. Not going to happen. Link to comment

Doncomitant
Clarke would turn us down I think.I think you may be correct. Once work starts on new facilities then we can hope to attract better but we have probably missed any chance of getting someone from another club like Clarke. Link to comment

Chewie37
We did okay in the first half, but our usual slow start in the second cost us, Hibs get their tails up with the early goal and we struggled. Christie looked mince today so our midfield was like a man down. We just were made to look sluggish and poor positional sense in attack which meant they were easily able to break against us when we got up to their box.......Can’t wait for next Sunday now.....I’ll bring spare pants Link to comment
King Street Loon
Just back on the bus.Shite result and shite performance.Started brightly enough, but once Hibs did to us what they've done to Sevco and Celtic all season we had no answer. It's why we've had no answer against the unwashed bigot bros this season.I could see why he changed out Rooney at half time as Hibs played us very well and isolated our wingers and as a consequence isolated Rooney...again.Hibs scored before we eben implemented our new 'game plan'.Then for me to take off, imo our best midfielder in the game for a defender was classic McInnes.Well beaten today. Doncomitant
I really do wish we had lost McInnes to the Huns as soon as they & HE showed any interest.Nothing good has come from fighting to keep him, other than five minutes worth of giggles aimed at the hun hordes. 2 1 Link to comment
old sheep
Anyone who thinks we are the second best team in this league is seriously deluded. McInnes has assembled a team of lightweights who were out fought, out thought and outclassed in the second half. Thought Chidi was our best performer but was knackered after the first half because McInnes had not given him enough game time in recent weeks. Too many players who can only play with a yard of space (ie against the dross) and can't compete against any decent opposition. 1 Link to comment

Geoff_Tipps
Utter shambles. No bottle or leaders. Chidi was the only one who looked eager to impress and the manager hooks him. Having seen a bit of Christie this season id happily see him packed off to Celtic tonight. An absolute liability on the pitch when things aren't going for him. I'd be fucking raging if we spent good money on him. He certainly thinks he's something special, attitude stinks. Lots of changes needed not sure I trust the manager to be able to make them.
