Britain's propaganda industries – both political and cultural, including most of the media – are the most powerful, ubiquitous and refined on earth.
Big lies can be repeated incessantly in comforting, credible BBC voices. Omissions are no problem.

In the midst of the greatest health emergency in modern times, with more than 4 million surgical procedures delayed by the National Health Service, Johnson has announced a record increase of £16.5 billion in so-called defence spending – a figure that would restore the under-resourced NHS many times over.

This is wholly down to pandemic mismanagement. Covid "fatigue" was anticipatable. People were always going to find restrictions and lockdowns "challenging". It's fucked people's lives and businesses. For such a price to have been paid, it was crucial that the measures were proportionate to the threat. With 15 separate U-turns, in both directions (too loose plus too strict), it's impossible for the majority to trust the government. Without trust, it's not unexpected that people won't listen to them.

Agree with all of that. From day 1 the UK focussed on economic impact of this, rather than focussing on the public health issues. This resulted in the virus spreading, reaching unmanageable levels and needing extreme measures to be taken.

Shutting borders and enforcing mandatory 2 week isolated quarantines for any arrivals, in tandem with the first "lockdown" we had, would've allowed us to get a handle on the virus within the UK.

There'd have still been sporadic outbreaks but we'd at least have a chance to get it under control.

The governments are to blame for the farcical situation we're all in

Without trust, it's not unexpected that people won't listen to them. The only consequence now available to the arseholes in charge is law and draconian enforcement, akin to a police state. It's a shitshow and has always been a shitshow from day one. Revolution is the only solution. This is impossible without mobilising the people. The people are too stupid, dumbed-down and fat to be mobilised so it will continue to be a Great British shitshow. At least the US have had a change of leadership but it doesn't affect us (directly, nor immediately) and I'm not holding my breath for any great revolution on that side of the pond either. Rudyard saw it. The east is the new west. 2020 was when it all changed. Cos we had madmen in charge, elected by mad men and women.

Post of the year, Rocket min?. The majority of our electorate have directly contributed to our collective demise and the lives we currently lead, riddled with fear, acute awareness , and irrevocable anger.

Also, why did we need mandatory 12 week quarantines? If our testing system was the "world best" that BlowJob claimed, could international travellers not been tested at arrival and identified that way?

I meant "2 week" but mistyped. Corrected it in an edit.

I think it's risky to rely on tests. Given the acknowledged problems with testing & also the incubation period of the virus, when someone may still test negative.

It is because people will do what they want anyway.

Correct.

Folk were always going to do what they wanted like they have been since March.

Some folk follow the guidelines, the mavericks dont bother. That’s why we’ll still be in this shambles in 6 months time.

Not enforcing and controlling restrictions has rendered them pointless.

As for the xmas covid holiday - the work of a spastic. Not sure who that was appeasing cos the folk getting bent out of shape were always going to do what they wanted regardless.

Big spike in Jan/Feb. Great.

I think i might be right in saying it was chinkies at a Nike conference in Edinburgh that are believed to have started it in Scotland.

This was covered up by Krankie at the time.

Krankie stands up and thanks everybody for following the restrictions most days.

Everybody knows they are being broken .

She is clueless .
