Probably shifting McKimmie to left back cause the rest are pish and having the original rat at right back http://www.afcheritage.org/Team/CurrentSquad/index.cfm?Season=2020-21 Just had a look at the womans team. Anywhere there isn't a photo, they've used a cartoon Willie Miller. I doubt Nadia Sopel has a Miller tash, but you never know. Link to comment
slippers
Fletcher promoted to technical director at Man United so would assume no chance if there ever was of him becoming manager. Link to comment

Andy_123
According to wiki he’s played 17 first team games. So he must be better than Gallagher. That’s not saying much though. Link to comment

Tord31
So thats Louis Moult back fit after two years out. I'm a bit sad he's never going to turn up at Pittodrie now. Stick on McInnes would have been in for him over the next few months. Link to comment

Tord31
disappointing we cant really speculate about summer signings without a manager. I'll look forward to post a list of the new managers former players. Managers always sign their former players, right? Link to comment
The Gee Man
Maybe a loan for Dykes as he’s getting nothing down south Link to comment

Tord31
Its a no brainer to make a strong offer. The fans will also have low expectations of him actually joining so no harm done Link to comment
Granite95
Good player, certianly an upgrade on who we've got! Link to comment
slippers
Might stand a chance if that is all the clubs linked. Sure to be a few more championship teams that will throw money at him l. Link to comment

aberdeen1970
He'd be a perfect signing. Getting a younger guy to play alongside him would be useful as well. Link to comment

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt by saying it was a genuine misunderstanding rather than a monstrous fuck up. Gallagher did reach the trigger point in his contract where an extension had to be offered. I presume this is what he read and for some reason thought that it was cut and dried that he would sign it. He's obviously done a deal to work around that. Why don't you ask Scott Burns who reported on the contract stipulation and it being triggered? Link to comment
Tord31
Graham Alexander also claimed it was a done deal he was staying so he didnt understand either. Link to comment
Andy_123
An obvious upgrade on Devlin and Taylor. Happy enough with it. No brainier to get him in. Him and Hoban would be a fairly solid CB pairing if we can keep Hoban too. 1 Link to comment
ThomohawkKid
Keeping Hoban should be biggest priority. What a pler. We’d been a hell of a lot worse off without him this season. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Only issue is his age for me. 30 now. Ideally we'd be signing younger players. But as long as any other defensive signings were younger guys it would be fine. Link to comment

Our last game vs Accies the average age of the First XI was 28, which is part of the issue, need to recruit or bring through younger players. Gallagher would be a great CB for us, a wee bit older aye but would get a good 2/3 years out of him I reckon Link to comment

A year in the pokey gave him a decent break and consequently he's averaging pretty much bang on 30 games per season for his career so hasn't been overplayed. And as far as I can see, has no major injuries (he tends to inflict them rather than suffer them....) in his career to date. If we can persuade Hoban to sign on and get one younger (21-23 ideally) but first-team ready left sided CH then we wouldn't be in a bad position. If we could stagger Hoban, Gallagher and the younger one on contracts of 2, 3 and 4 years, it would also mean only having to replace (or renegotiate a new contract) one of them per season going forward. Considine as a 4th option for next season covering for injuries etc would give us a pretty good selection to choose from Link to comment
Tord31
We wont get Gallagher so no real need to worry about his age or contract status. Link to comment
