Only 2 people out of the many linked can land the Hearts and Hibs jobs. There will be a long line of unsuccessful candidates. How many would whore themselves at the vacancy in Perth (or Motherwell if Robinson got it) and spout spurious platitudes proclaiming it as a fantastic job having been rejected by 1 or in some cases, 2, bigger clubs just a few weeks earlier.

Ultimately his first managerial appointment will be a significant moment whatever the reasons for it happening. I think he's definitely more likely to hold McInnes to account if we don't progress in Europe, should we qualify. Exciting times.
