Good points Bert. I’m in total agreement. Think the Argies will be too strong, they’re pretty relentless when they get going and the Frogs seem to drop out for large spells.

For me watching will be enjoyable but a wee bit stressful at the the same time. Not really a gambler but had three small doubles before tournament started ( Winner/top scorer).

Brazil/Naymar has already gone but still have Argentina/Messi 22/1 (£11) and France/Mbappe 25/1 (£10) live.

Not a big amount of money but still enough to take care of Christmas food and something nice to drink so fingers crossed 🤞

An Argentina win and a simultaneous nuclear strike on the Falklands as Messi lifts the trophy would be most agreeable.

Failing that, hopefully a decent contest with some exciting moments.

Had Argentina and Messi top scorer in 2014, but didn't think he was 100% fit in final against Germany. 

Did same in 2018, he looked stressed carrying the team and they didn't do well as a consequence. 

Have only punted on Argentina for old time's sake this time around and, after the Saudi scare, kinda confident.

Ronaldo greetin' in his rice crispies the morning after at Messi winning a WC would be an added bonus.

Been a brilliant World Cup.   Best in a long time and we got the final we all wanted ( once we knew Brazil were oot )
