Can only see outs now! Loanees returning that Barry has decide he didn’t want to try! And maybe 2/3 sales. Not sure now we have only league and maybe 2/3 cup games that we will need to boost the squad. This current situation isn’t getting into European football again next season, so we don’t need to waste cash in expensive January window

Tragically this is where we are heading now.

January is more expensive to get deals done so not a lot of point chasing lots of players when we have nothing much to play for and probably don’t need a squad for Europe next year.

Maybe we’ll shift a couple of unneeded bodies out of the door and bring one in if there’s and easy deal to be done but what’s the point really.

Surely a defensive midfielder has been ear marked along with a winger for January.

Although if robson persists with shinnie over barron and polvara the new player probably won't get a game anyway!

Agreed, not sure why anyone would say we'll do no business. We have been very active recently

I wouldn’t say we’ll do no business.

But honestly can see little point doing more than a few simple tweaks if we are keeping this manager in place.

This team has fuck all identity and is going nowhere fast. Why bother adding more players and bloating the squad if we don’t even have European football to delay with?

It been clear Cormack didnt back the manager in the Callum Hendry window but every other window he's backed his managers.

Presuming he does not make a royal cunt of the next 5 games then we'll likely bring in a few

Waste of time and money.

Bin a few of the failed loan players, get a loan midfielder in, then keep the powder dry for the summer.

The season is more than salvageable.

Correct if Cormack keeps Robson, if they get a proper manager in before January, few decent signings as everyone knows what we need then third is more than achievable.

Bin him now.

If we get a new manager in then sure, back him in January to turn the season around.

But if we are staying with the work experience manager don’t bother spending the money.

Because we have a fairly large squad (not used properly) built because we had Thursday/Sunday and now don’t and not looking likely we will have next season. Do we want to pay for a larger squad also 50% not used

He should only be able to bring in guaranteed first team starters that will 100% improve the squad. What’s the point in 3/4 on say £2/3k a week that never play. Waste of Money

No point buying players if an incompetent manager doesn't know how to deploy them or play them.

Good point! We should get Messi on loan from the Tampax Bay Rowdies and fire long balls at him for a few months!
maybe that would show BR it’s probably the tactics and not the players that are the issue!

Agree and we don’t have to pay for a plonker of a manager who thinks shitco and weegie mafia has the Devine right to win against us.

Squad building is an organic process these days now recruitment teams have more control so things shouldn't stop just because a manager isn't doing well and might get bulleted.

If there's a decent left back, central midfielder and winger available then we should just crack on and get them in. Otherwise, even if you change manager, you're putting the next incumbent on the back foot from the off.

Spot on, the club will always be bigger than the manager, managers come and go, live and die, clubs shouldn’t (unless you’re the cheating hun fucks of course)

Its always really funny when someone brings up Messi in a situation like this

As funny the 3 billionth time as it was the first, it really is

Hmm yes and no.

It all depends who is available and for how much.

The last thing I want to see if Robson bringing in another 2 CBs or some nonsense.

If the players we need are not available until the summer then so be it, we wait instead of going for poorer options just to keep the manager happy he’s got some more bodies in the door.

He’s proven he can’t use the players he’s got effectively so tough shit.

PS- our head of recruitment/DoF/head scout etc should be looking at the best coaches and managers out there who might be in budget for us in the summer. It’s time to see some proper long term planning for our coaching department.

As it always should.

I suppose the point is if you’re really confident in the management team, the style of football and where they are progressing then you push the boat out a bit more and go and get whatever players he thinks he needs.

But surely to fuck someone at the club realises we aren’t really in that situation and any money spent needs to be low risk.

Makes fuck all difference if its getting shelled over him for 90 mins. Need to get a ball playing midfielder in first and foremost. And it better be announced at 12.01am on Jan 1st.

Clarkson and McGrath are ball playing midfielders. Need a Ramadani replacement, someone to win back possession and break up play

Fuck that little prick. Fucked us about all summer he had his chance.

Utter shite, he wanted to come, his club were asking for a decent amount of dough. Remember all that chat about “it’s a complicated deal” we heard from Scott burns all summer which basically alluded to cormack penny pinching.
