Next Manager

It seems clear to me that, given each of our last 3 full time managers got punted after only 30-odd games (less than a seasons worth), we are not a very attractive option for candidates of any calibre.

Instant success is only likely if you can try to buy it - and we cant.

Warnock walking early will also have likely sent bad vibes down the managers grapevine.

I have heard several managers say you only have power over the board when you negociate your contract. Once you sign it they have all the power and you are goosed. So if you have 3 chosen candidates for a job that the employers have said they want a new manager asap the negociations are going to be protracted as the candidates gain as much as they can while they can. Its not a sign of someone who does not want the job.

The manager should be the most important person at the club and should be paid the most. We should be looking to pay at least 10k a week to persuade the best candidate IMO.

Been saying this for ages

The manager/head coach, & also the Head of Recruitment should be the most capable people at the club.

Everything will flow from that.

There speaks the voice of the naive - what is happening is our collective board of directors (Cormack) are displaying the usual level of incompetence which is making our club a complete fucking laughing stock.

Klopp in charge of Clyde's squad

or

Derek Adams in charge of Celtic's squad

One year of coaching and implementation of tactics, then they play each other. Who wins?

It's an interesting thought.

Just listened to the burrows interview again this morning , so we are in the very final stages that can be taken any number of ways like

1- we have our manager but negotiating with his club for compensation

2 - we are doing the last interview/ interviews and we will have our decision soon

3 - we have a manager but we are negotiating for his assistant and coaching team that he wants to bring in

4 - we are at the bottom of the barrel because everyone we have approached has said no and the the candidate we are approaching now is a deffinate yes

5 - we just said final stages so fans would get off our back sadly we are no further along now that we was in January

1 - "Club" rather than country? Thank Christ for that. Rules out both Lennon who is unemployed and O'Neill who is employed by his national FA.

Happy happy.

Only issue with burrows statement as such is the look that we are really having to work hard to convince whoever the target is to take the job. If it drags on next week it creates another negative impression.

If they are employed by another club it is a very awkward time to leave and go to another club . Unless you really are a c*nt and have no respect for your current employers. And I’m not sure anyone wants that type of person.

8 (eight) pages since I finished work yesterday and not a single ounce of sense spoken. So I'll add to the pile.

Leven and Hayes will win us the Scottish Cup (Hayes won't be playing).

Morris winner
