Posters That Are No More....

Somebody mentioned Ultrarobin earlier in the week and this got me thinking.......

 

there used to some prolific posters on old Donstalk and then here that seem to have disappeared.

 

Bazig? Anyone remember her? All sarcastic and nearly sometimes quite funny?

 

Kelt? Whatever happened to him? He was the most mental poster ever untill RS.

 

All the Glasgow Uni lot?

The Glasgow Uni lot still haven't forgiven this place for the mass cull last year (except Nespa).

Nah, that was the guy whose username escapes me, used to be called Pittodrie Pie on the original site, the original wind up merchant.

kelt is still over on MAD but there was athread recently that he recieved alot of stick for. somthing to do with army personell being killed in afghanistan

Think it was to do with Nicnac wanting it to be a family sort of environment. He used to ban people for too much swearing incase under 16's saw the threads (no joke) and Kelt while being hilarious is as ElginDon said, a complete nutter.

I'm still here too!

 

Yeah we had our own we forum to arrange our travel to games etc, but everyone (Tenement Funster, Glasgow Sheep, Bloo Toon Red, El Padre et al) got banned for some reason (can't even remember why now), so Padre set up his own wee forum exculsively for GUASC members.

Do you remember Nicnac banned a poster for having the username 'James Bond'. That just reminds me, Nicnac was a complete fudge packer.

It is a pity there is still resentment between the two forums... for the past 3 or 4 years, both these forums have consisted, largely of the same member base. When Donstalk was down I'd post on here, and vice versa.... It's a shame the two couldn't just merge.

On the point re the differences on forums, both AbMad and DT seem to have a hubris holier than thow attitude, this place seems a bit more easy going

I'd disagree in the respect that this site is a bit more easy going. If people disagree with each other on here it tends to end up in a slagging match. Donstalks debate is more reasoned although this site is far busier.

Amongst those banned or on self imposed exile were some decent people.

 

Not many like.

 

I'm sure all were extended an invite to pop back here by LS but they remained loyal

to Donstalk, fairplay to them, but i find it's good to have a nosey of all the sites if only

to get confirmation that this is the place to be.
