GK55
Cammy Bell has signed a 2 year extension at Killie. 20 year old Daniel Strahle has been brought in for a 2nd chance. Link to comment
Ke1t
I'm just wondering, and maybe someone already brought this up, but I'm just wondering if the seizure had anything to do with Diamond kicking him in the head in the Hamilton game? Link to comment
a don in oz
Just watching the interview with Jamie on RedTV... jesus wept that must have been terrifying for him. Seizure at his in-laws before going on holiday with the wife and kids where he thought he was climbing the wall ("like I was dreaming") and his missus put him in recovery position and called the paramedics. Then when he got there he got angry at them enough that he had to go away and calm down before agreeing to go to hospital. Then at hospital having a second seizure and when he came out of it he couldn't speak and didn't know who his wife was. Then a third one and thinking that he was dying. That is so so not good. A very honest, no "game of two halves" bullshit interview with the guy. "Having three seizures like that is really unusual... to this day we still don't know why it happened" "Told not to do anything, not even pick my own kids up" "Whatever (the medicos) say and hopefully get back to play... but if that's not going to happen because of what has happened then just got to think the overriding fact is my health is the most important thing, then my wife and my kids come after that and want to make sure i grow old with my wife and see my kids grow up" This is NOT the kind of interview you normally see... GK55
Be an interesting, an tough, couple of months ahead of him....but as he says, his health and family come before football. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Sounds like we've got a very capable replacement for him, so he should just concentrate on recovering for now. Link to comment
Tord31
I wonder if Langfield will step down to number 2 on a moderate wage following all thats happened and stay on for another 5-10 seasons. Got to start to value other things in life and a secure position on a small wage might suit both parties greatly. Link to comment
a don in oz
From the sound of that interview he'll either be declared ok to battle for number 1, or he'll be quitting the game. Not often you see a footballer lay it out quite so bare. Link to comment
ScottishJohn
I saw the interview when it was put on. 15 minutes ( or so) of Jamie speaking about what happened during and after the 3 seizures. Must have been terrifying not knowing your wife and not being able to speak. Link to comment
