Plans to create a “drive through” coffee shop on an Aberdeen industrial estate will be debated by councillors next week.

A Starbucks outlet in the grounds of the ‘Makro’ site at Wellington Circle in Cove would be opened if plans are approved.

The coffee shop would be located in an area to the south east of the Makro store.

Officers have recommended that councillors approve the application when it comes before the Planning Development Management Committee next Thursday.

Coffee is shit. People who drink coffee relentlessly are shit. People who go on about how good coffee is are shit.

Quite like an espresso or double every so often, although usually only when abroad.

:nutter:

Good idea - many love a takeaway coffee.

Bad idea - everyone would be distracted on the road as they'd be drinking it whilst they're driving. I smell danger.

...I'm in two minds.

There's a new craze in Aberdeen called 'Deliveroo'. Folk cycle round with big bags on their back delivering food from restaurants to cunts that can't be assed going out.

Everything is quicker these days - drive thru's, abbreviated texts, limited Twitter characters and to what end?

What do we do with all the time we've saved?

Watch reality tv.

Agreed.

For lazy, thick folk who couldn't possibly countenance getting up five minutes earlier to make their own coffee.

It was actually devised for people driving long journeys and fitting in with the American retail model.

The problems not the drive through; it's the soulless /tasteless brand.

Post of the day Poodler, so far

I nearly delayed someone's Deliveroo last week as the fuckwit pap on his bike thought he could cycle across King Gate roundabout quicker than I could in my car made of steel'n'stuff

If stupid bastards are willing to use it then fair play to them for thinking about it.

Crude oil Johnnies will lap that shit up.

The work day grey goose for the pretentious cunts. They will need to leave at least 10 minutes earlier to get one what with traffic and queues at the drive thru.
