mixu
Playing in his natural position against a part time team, how exactly was he dropped in it?When did he last play centre midfield ? He is a young steady player not a superstar so to expect him to slot into there and produce a match winning performance against anyone is asking a lot, the young lads we have are of limited ability that is why they play for Aberdeen so the manager should be trying to make life easier for them by keeping them settled. Fraser Fyvie looks pish playing off from man does that mean he is pish or is manager putting to much pressure on him moving him about and expecting to much? Link to comment
Guest the shepherd
Why oh why would u play Magennis this lad has done absolutely nothing since he has been here i just hope he is out of contract at the end of the season, Gonzalez Jack Mawene Considine Foster Pawlett Arnason Osborne Milsom Chalali Fallon Its unreal that people are writing Chalali off already after two games he may turn out to be shite but to judge him after one start give me strength. After seeing Mohamed Chalili in his four performances for Aberdeen so far against Dundee, rangers, Kilmarnock and East Fife I think I can judge him fairly and constructively in what I have seen (just like I did with, for example, Thorarinn Kristijansson when he was at our club). He is no better, and arguably worse, than Michael Paton and Mitchel Megginson, in fact I would like to see a bit more of Megginson. I am sorry but his miss last night towards the end of ninety minutes with the goal gaping at his mercy was simply not good enough. He's had his chances to prove his worth. How many games do you give a player (one, two, twenty ) to show if he is better than we have or had. I thoroughly agree with your sentiments with regards to Josh Magennis though. If Aberdeen are to progress, and let's face it we are pretty damn stagnant right now and have been for the past 18 years or so since Dick Donald passed away, our scouting network has to be doing far, far better than they have been doing in recent history and that includes attracting players such as Magennis and Chalili, to name two of a long, long list of players that simply are not good enough. Our "scouting" network, as well as our manager's "contacts" are fucking shambolic and quite frankly take the piss out of our once-proud club. Link to comment

How often does a player come on at our level and change a game ? Once in a blue moon. U may be right i havent been impressed with him but feel writing off a young lad in a new country after so little time is a bit harsh even some top players can take time to settle, short term he may not solve our problems but lets give the lad a chance once the first one goes in you never know. sheepiekev
Unfair on throwing Megginson into the middle of this shite. As daft as it sounds I'd give Challa lala ding dong a go for the next five games to see if there is a player in there. Fuck all to lose and for God's sake dinna mention Barren! Chalali is a Highland league player.A horrific signing from a panicking manager!A horribly mis-managed and unbalanced squad...AGAIN! Still, we'll be ok, Tup reckons we're improving.FFS, how deluded can someone be?! Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Pity he cant get into his new teams squad. Why's that a pity? Are you really that twisted? V for Vendetta
Maguire's position hasnt been replaced makes no sense to you. bripod points out Maguire is ONLY missed because he wasn't replaced. I can't decide if thats in support of my statement or against it. I think in balance logically it has to be in support of my comment. If you think about it. To expand my point whatever Maguire was as a person, he is missed hugely from this team. As Bri says we were unable to replace him, therefore you might think he was a bit better than the players we have been able to attract. In fact evidence would seem to point to the fact that he was basically too good for our team presently. Right now, snide remarks about a player who has left the club is really quite irrelevant and sad IMO. Lets focus in the players who are here and the issues that need addressed as they may be more important. Link to comment
baconman
This game is a must win if the players are ever going to try and win back the fans. Link to comment
rossafc92
I'll be at this one, and will only feel slightly better if we win. 3 points will not take away from last night's travesty, but it's the best we can of course hope for. I'd be looking to go with virtually the same team that played against Killie last weekend, with a few tweaks. GK: Gonzalez RB: Jack - he may not be a natural full back, but he's the best option for this position at the momentCB: MaweneCB: Considine - had a good game at left back against Killie, but don't think we can risk his lack of pace against HumphreyLB: Foster - hopefully his pace will cope against Humphrey RM: Pawlett - don't know what he has to do to get a start, hopefully Brown gives him one on SaturdayCM: Arnason - he looks better in midfield and should provide a solid partner for Osbourne in the middle of the parkCM: Osbourne - should never have been left out yesterday, he will be as crucial as ever come SaturdayLM: Milsom - not a wide man, but has had decent performances in this position ST: Fallon - despite it meaning nothing in the end, hopefully his goal last night gives him confidence to kick onST: Chalali - some don't rate him but he looked lively enough on Saturday to make me think he could be a decent acquisition Link to comment
