This is it in one sentence, exactly what I've been alluding to, the club would be supporting Rangers by allowing them back in scot free, if you still support the club after that decision is made, you are effectively endorsing Glasgow Rangers FC.

I'd rather eat my own shit than agree with those bastards on anything.

Never thought I'd see the day where I would be agreeing with you, but nail on the fucking head there, mannie!

It would depend on a number of factors that I am sure have already been mentioned.

1: Did AFC actively support the readmittance of the huns with no sanctions? If the anwer was yes they could fuck off.

2: Did AFC actively try and prevent the huns getting back in with no sanctions? If the anwer was yes then I would be undecided as I would still feel the SPL was a complete sham fixed for the benefit of 2 teams but I would feel my club did the correct thing but I think I would then pick and choose my games rather than have a season ticket.

3: If they are readmitted will there be any sanctions? If there are depending on the severity of these would depend on my next action. If there was fiscal, points, and european qualification sanctions then Iwould feel a certain amount of justice had been done and would be tempted to renew my season ticket and see how things panned out.

Overall though I think the first two are more likely options and option 1 beeing the most likely I have voted no. Anyone wo does go knowing that there is a league that is completely skewed for the benefit of two teams is IMO an absolute idiot even though I can understand the emotional pull being still strong.

I also feel it is worth saying that although just now the league is run for 2 teams this has always been put down as the way the league evolved by the fitba authorities rather than bare faced corruption, cheating and whataboutery for the benefit of 2 teams and had to kind of be taken at face value due to the lack of evidence.

The huns being voted back in with no sanctions bar what UEFA forces the SPL to take would prove the league is corrupt and full of whataboutery run for the benefit of 2 teams and evidence of this would be staring us all in the face do feel that there needs to be a clear distinction made between the two scenarios.

Canny believe folk voting yes :banghead:

Would you guys (for example) enter a pool competition where everyone had to use 4ft lengths of 2" X 4" (un sanded) except for two of the players that were allowed to use their own cues?

Just beggars belief :suicide:

I'm so good at pool I'd beat them playing with a snake that has just died and hasn't went stiff yet. Blindfolded.

I was thinking along those lines myself. Actually, I wouldn't need any props. A copy of playboy or some Viagra is all I'd need.

For me this would not be about not attending or supporting Aberdeen anymore, it would be about having no interest in Scottish football anymore because it would have been proven to be a corrupt league with no sporting integrity.

Exactly!

My point was to show the fact the the competition 'ringers' were blatantly allowing cheating by allowing them to compete whilst using an unfair advantage (as in avoiding tax, or bending rules to allow them back in) so no I wouldn't if the competition 'ringers' blatantly came out & backed/allowed cheating, or bending of the rules to suit some/one & not others :dontknow:

Did you really think that would make a difference?

Its irrelevant if some fans want to keep going anyway - it won't make any difference.

As I posted in another thread losing even a few hundred regulars in a point of principle and a few hundred more on the increased apathy of a now clearly corrupt, unfair league will have such an effect as top be the end anyway.

If the authorities don't act it'll be out of their hands.

Less fans, less harmony, less sponsorship, less money, poorer standards of play etc - this is going to push the SPL 10 into a massive spiral they will never recover from unless someone with some balls, some morals and some leadership steps forward and finds a path out of the shite.

Yes & that MUST mean that they have to punish them the way ANY other club would be punished for being liquidated (if they are liquidated) & not "amend" the rules to suit (spit) them!!

Any other route they take will severely damage an already plug hole circling SPL.

Even if the rest of the SPL lose a third of their current support (which I'd say is minimal going by this poll) the league could be completely done & an unrecoverable joke.

We're already a joke both to us & to the rest of Europe & to show such blatant biased to the OF would just be the final nail in the coffin.

The competition will still be rigged with just Celtic (the amount of cheating is debatable, would like to see them in the spotlight!).. Our league will simply be to aspire to second rather than third. Get rid of both and game on. Get rid of one and meh! It will be a giggle. But it ain't gonna have much of an impact on my attendance. On the flip side binning the Huns will dilute the tims position. Not enough though I suspect.

Yes but this isn't the point of this thread.

The point is if they change the rules to allow a newco back into the SPL rather than forcing them to apply to third div, like they should.

We're not arguing the fact that it will not change the fact that we'll still win fk all, that's just something that will take nothing short of a miracle but what we're arguing is that the rules shouldn't be changed to suit them & basically allow them to cheat :dontknow:

If the huns are liquidated. How could the SPL seriously even consider allowing them to be in with a chance of potentially lifting the topflight title the very next season as a newco as if nothing has happened? :nutter:

You wouldn't even expect this amount of corruption from Serie A in all honesty & that's given a seriously dubious track record in Italy. At least they don't bend the rules to change rightful punishment at the risk of belittling their league further.

I'll just state though right now that the last bit of my post, the bit you highlighted, almost certainly will not happen.

Which brings us back to the rest of my post - its fucked anyways and even if most people eventually talks themselves into going they won't go as much, the atmosphere will be toxic so sponsors will disappear, the footie will get worse and so apathy becomes more and more a problem.

Basically this is the death blow and not one person in our game has stepped forward to say the right things and start to act in the best interests of the game. Shame on them all.

Are the rules changing? Regardless. The original post was ambiguous and it's fair to point out that the huns aren't the only problem. The game is corrupt, has been corrupt, and will be corrupt regardless of a vote.

We don't know but it's a fairly safe bet that should the huns be liquidated, then the rules WILL be changed to allow them back in as a newco & if this does happen then the it will be the final nail in the SPL.

Surely you can see this?

There is no perfect solution here & whatever happens there's going to be less money made & the new sponsors will be offering a pittance regardless of whether the huns are here or not.

But they have to be seen to be consistent with the RULES & not make a complete mockery of an already struggling league.

Rules are rules & they have to be followed regardless of the consequences & no matter who breaks/bends them

I've obviously missed the whole "rules changing" argument. I thought it was accepted that if they got liquidated it was down to a panel vote regarding whether they got let back in or not. But the two of them make up there rules to suit themselves. Thats what the voting structure is all about.

Am I right in thinking that a newco would not be allowed to compete in European competition until they have been established for something like 3 years minimum?

If so, do you think UEFA would bend the rules to allow them in?

So why the fk should the SPL be seen to condone this?

It would just be farcical & for us the fans to basically just go along with it would just be laughable.

No matter how you look at it, we'd be seen as fools but at least we could earn some respect by showing some kind of pride in ourselves.

Probably Edinburgh city for me as they're the closest to me :dontknow:

Detroit may be getting an MLS franchise shortly... so me and the loon will be getting season tickets for that

Here's the Silverdome set up for fitba...

Pontiac-Silverdome-Inside-588x441.jpg

they'll bang in some big screens, sell beer in the concourse, get proper cheerleaders sorted, plenty parking, restaurants and stores inside the ground, proper bars, bogs that weren't built in the 1600s, and they'll garner plenty investment.

A Detroit MLS franchise will be, on day one of its existence, bigger and better run than Aberdeen Football Club, and playing in a proper stadium rather than some rinky-dink lego shithole that's nothing more than smoke and mirrors to appease ever-dwindling levels of interest.

Just hope in the fuck they play in any colour except green or blue.

Red would be ideal, like.

Would imagine they'll probably take a page out of the Red Wings book and play in red! Always wanted to go to the Motor City to watch the Leafs hump the Wings :checkit:

Depends,

if they are pish and every time we play them we pump them then yes, i will gladly go along and rub there faces in it.

If they come back scot free with same cash to burn and continue with duopoly of dominance then no they can fuck right off and i'll never bother with an SPL game again.
