From castlegate to market street or something. £20m wouldn't even come close to the amount of money needed to reshuffle everything to that extent though. And there's a few places that you obviously couldn't just move like the court. Not sure how you fix union street now. Union square and internet shopping have killed any hope of it returning to what it once was, and the council aren't clever/rich enough to re-purpose it in any way. I don't think moving the pubs together will help at all, there are already a few areas with a fairly dense number of pubs and they don't seem to fair any better than those on their own. They should use the castlegate for that. We can’t go pedestrianising more streets, it bad enough as is. Link to comment

Most of the bars and restaurants are in the west side of union street from holburn junction to bridge street so in that sense they’re kind of grouped together, but there’s a good few down at the castlegate end as well. The shopping area is supposedly the bit from bridge street to market street which is definitely the worst part, vacant units aplenty round there. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Apologies if discussed elsewhere. Was listening to a radio programme this morning reviewing the new Tetris movie. Apparently Shot at zoology building St Machar, Tillydrone, George Street, Prestwick airport and, most bizarrely, around Ibrox Stadium to recreate late 70s Russia. Link to comment

Saw an article about it on the news last night. Apparently ABZ was chosen as a location because it has many examples of 'brutalist' architecture, similar to soviet era Moscow 😄 Link to comment
