Tommy
if you're in the South Stand go to the pie stand at the side of the Merkland and corner of Y, between 5 mins in and 40th minute there's never much of a queue and you can still see (most of) the game I always assumed you'd got the last one when you come back. looksgoodinred
who makes/supplies Pittodrie's pies? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/revealed-greggs-talks-spl-clubs-1968716 GREGGS have held talks with the SPL over plans to seize control of the football pie market. The Record has learned that senior figures from both organisations, and a number of clubs, have been in secret discussions that could spark a bake-over takeover.Greggs are interested in striking a deal to sell half-time hot snacks at all games. The firm have also contacted individual clubs, including Celtic and Rangers, who will play in Division Two next season.Sources say SPL marketing chief Ross McDonald has held discussions with the bakery firm.An SPL insider said: “Any overall deal would be difficult because the clubs have individual contracts but Greggs are most interested in the big clubs with high volumes of sales.”Brian Sarafilovic, managing director of Glasgow-based Pars Foods – suppliers to Celtic, St Mirren and Falkirk – said: “It would be bad news for quite a few small Scottish firms if Greggs was to come in and produce all the pies.“We’re a relatively small firm and make special, individual pies for each of the clubs we work with. Our chicken balti pie for Celtic recently won an award.“I can see why the SPL would be interested in teaming up with Greggs and doing some kind of sponsorship deal.“They are a big company and their products are fine but I think fans want something else at a match.“They like the fact they’re buying a locally made pie specific to their club.”The SPL, Celtic and Rangers were not available for comment last night.Any deal with Rangers would be tricky because Craig Whyte sold off £2million of future earnings from match-day catering at Ibrox to pay for the leasing of kitchen equipment. The agreement – involving financing firm Close Brothers and catering firm Azure – was struck soon after his takeover in 2011.A Greggs spokeswoman said: “Currently we have no plans to supply the Scottish Premier League but are always open to new business opportunities.“Based on previous customer feedback, we understand that our scotch pies would be well received at football grounds.” Link to comment

Tyrant
I'd welcome Greggs' food at Pittodrie. The current pies are shite (when you manage to get one that is) with the exception of the macaroni pie which is sensational when it's actually cooked. Most of the time I find the pies to be undercooked. Greggs are welcome to take over. A wee stake bake at half time? Yes please. Link to comment
dave_min
Pittodrie food is poor, but Greggs is absolutely fucking shite. Link to comment

Henry
Aberdeen FC has been made aware of various issues our supporters have recently experienced with the catering facilities at Pittodrie on a match-day. We take matters such as these which directly impact upon the match-day experience for our valued fans very seriously. As a club we have made considerable investment to improve and upgrade the kiosk facilities which are currently run by our catering partners Sodexo Prestige so it is disappointing to learn that issues continue to arise. We wish to asure all our supporters we will be working directly with Sodexo Prestige management team in an effort to make the necessary improvements required in the interest of our supporters. StandFree1982
The service is atrocious at Pittodrie, particularly when they have guys working behind the kiosk unable to speak English or understand how to count Sterling. Then when you do get the pie, it sticks to the foil container and you lose half of it and it's impossible to eat without a fucking fork. Add in the weather, the wait, the dire 0-0s with the likes of Partick and it's a pretty lousy experience for £30+. Link to comment
RAZOR
The queues are far too ridiculously long to even consider a pie. Link to comment

Your first line is something that really gets on my ample tits.I find myself shouting at the useless cunts such is their incompetence. As for spending money on upgrading the kiosk facilities. They use what looks like two old Kitchen units with a worktop on top in the south stand pop up kiosk. It's a fucking shambles. Link to comment
