fine-n-dandy
So we have found a new keeper worthy of re-using the letters J & L finally? Were we just signing keepers with those letters in the hope of finding the next Jim Leighton Jason Brown (too dark for someone)Jamie Langfield, too shite for (most except the fkn zoomers)Joe Lewis (you have arrived) Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Two goalkeeper stories. First was tam Cowan and Scott Macdonald discussing and enjoying a laugh about how whatever ref it was gave them x'000 £££ more plus a Euro spot by allowing Suttons challenge on Clangers. Cunts Second was today. Willie Miller telling how he was introduced to Theo Snelders by Smiffy. Smiffy: Willie, this is Theo. He's Dutch and a shit hot keeper. Willie: Does he speak English? Smiffy: yes, a little. Willie: Well tell him to stay on his fucking line then!!! Made me laugh! 2 Link to comment

minijc
Surprised to find out today that Joe was called up by England senior team at one point. He's a good guy is Joe, met him today in Union Square. He was similar to what Butland is now just that his career went the other way, he's a very good keeper, wasn't keen to start with but he's been assured and solid for us. WA_Don
Best under contract keeper since Snelders, better than Kjaer Link to comment
The Lighthouse
He certainly looks like the real deal. Played well throughout the game but his save from Sinclair was exceptional. Good to have that type of quality in a key position. Link to comment
ebbe
Prevented embarrassment today and was a bigger aerial threat inside the opposition box than Rooney. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
fucked up quote but was meant to be the comment about extending his deal and keeping it non-embarrasing!This. Link to comment
Redstar
Best under contract keeper since Snelders, better than KjaerI'd agree with that...he's put the Shinnie back pass horror behind him and has looked decent...I was wrong...he's proved to be a very good signing. Link to comment
Daz the Don
He was excellent today, kept us in the game during a twenty minute or so spell where there seemed to be shot after shot getting through at him. Had we nicked a point in that final flurry it would have been because of his performance earlier in the half. If we are going to get a win at Hamden next month then, irrespective of what team the manager puts out, we're going to need our goalie to be at the very top of his game. Link to comment

The Lighthouse
Brilliant performance from Joe today. We have finally addressed a problem position and now need to look at the centre of the defence.... Link to comment
