apart from fact he could legitimately be the root cause, indirectly, of Hicham's passing!

loved Ebbe up until his treatment of that beautifull little man

Haha.

Remember Hicham used to starve himself for one month a year. Canna be good for an athlete, that.

I'd go with

Aberdeen: Preece, McGuire, McNaughton, Anderson, Severin, Tosh, Hart, Clark, Adams, Pasquinelli, Mackie.

Subs- Morrison, Considine, O'Leary, Esson, Stewart, Foster

How did that team of shite beat the below, when our team haven't managed over the past 6 games. Incredible!

Celtic: Marshall, Agathe, Varga, Balde, McNamara, Petrov, Lennon, Juninho Paulista (McGeady 59), Wallace, Sutton (Sylla 59), Hartson.

With Jack and Hayes out, I can't see a starting eleven! Don't want Consi at LB but it looks like it's a must. Shinnie and O'Connor or does Storie start alongside O'Connor and have a risky midfield 2?

Harsh on Storey but given we're already trying to slot in O'Connor I can see what you're doing, Maclean better have his A game back. Wouldn't be surprised to see Storie in there instead but he's played what? 0 minutes this season? Mcginn of the first half last week can play. McGinn of the 2nd half, as somebody said above, can sit it out and play Storey instead.

Personally I wouldn't rush Hayes back other than a last 10 cameo to supply the crosses for Stockley's impact hat-trick. Having Hayes back for the whole of September (and preferably the season) surely worth more to us.

Dons captain Ryan Jack could be facing several weeks on the sidelines because of a knee injury.

Jack has had scans done on the injury, which kept him out of last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Partick Thistle.

Dons boss Derek McInnes confirmed the scans have shown Jack will require surgery and could be out for several weeks.

McInnes said: “Ryan will see a specialist surgeon to find out what work needs to be done on his injured knee.

“We have accepted he will need surgery.

“We are hoping we are talking a matter of weeks rather than months in terms of Ryan being out. We won’t really know until he has been examined properly.”

Winger Jonny Hayes is also sidelined at the moment because of a torn hamstring.

McInnes revealed midfielder Peter Pawlett is also a major doubt for Saturday’s league visit to Celtic because of an unspecified injury.

But he remains convinced they can still get the result they want at Celtic Park.

McInnes said: “Injuries are part and parcel of the game.

“We will just crack on with it, there is no sense of doom and gloom in our camp.

“We have won big games without key players before and are confident we can do that again.

“It’s a case of adapting and seeing how others react to having the chance to play.”

I think you wont be far off King Street Loon but would not be surprised to see Storey used as the one up front on his own instead of Rooney.

Storey had a few of his best games for Caley last year playing against us & Celtic playing up on his own & using his pace to get in behind them. I thought him starting on Saturday was possibly with a view to getting some game time under his belt before the Celtic game.

If he does do that I hope he goes with Burns and doesn't try that strange formation he has sometimes has gone with in the past when he played Goodwillie central and he pushed Rooney out to 1 of the wide positions but again it wouldn't shock me if he does that again and has something like this.

Lewis

Logan Taylor Reynolds Considine

O'Connor Shinnie

Rooney McLean McGinn

Storey

I can see Celtic shuffling their line-up after the "heroics" in Israel, and struggling to get going in the first 20-30 minutes. Like in many previous visits to Celtic Park, I can see us creating first half chances, but in the past we've struggled to put them away as they fall to midfielders who lack that predatory instinct.

Therefore for me we need a front four of Rooney, Storey, Burns and McGinn, all capable of pouncing on even half chances.

Keep O'Connor in defence. Keep Shinnie in midfield too, we need him there if Jack is out. I would start Pawlett if he's fit - but if not then McLean needs a big 90 minutes.

Lewis

Logan O'Connor Reynolds Considine

Pawlett/McLean Shinnie

McGinn Storey Burns

Rooney

But, I think McInnes may be looking at Celtic being vulnerable at set pieces. From corners and free kicks they don't look too handy, though when Sviatchenko came on last night there was s notable improvement with high balls into the box.

Therefore, he may feel having Stockley and Taylor on the pitch is a good idea. For me it's be a mistake as I don't particularly rate either of them, but I wouldn't be surprised to see:-

Lewis

Logan Taylor Reynolds Considine

O'Connor Shinnie

McGinn Stockley Burns

Rooney

I'll take a guess at the Celtic team. Janko will be dropped but Tierney will start which may be good for us as he wasn't at the races at all last night and is maybe showing the effects of playing so often. If Rodgers rests him then it'll be Izaguirre who is there to be got at.

Sviatchenko will probably start. So will Rogic and Roberts.

Gordon

Lustig Toure Sviatchenko Tierney

Brown Bitton

Roberts Rogic Sinclair

Griffiths

They're really not that scary or as good as they are made out. We can win this.

In light of recent injuries the team will be as follows.

Lewis

Logan Taylor Reynolds Considine

O'Connor Shinnie

Burns McLean McGinn

Rooney

Still good enough to beat Celtic.

That's worrying, but I fear it will be accurate.

I'd go

Lewis

Logan OConnor Considine Shinnie

Burns MacLean Storie Hayes

Rooney Stockley

Just fucking go for it, we'll get humped anyway.

Get Taylor & Reynolds to fuck. Drop McGinn for obvious reasons.

As much as i'd like to see Shinnie at left back and McGinn benched for this one that ain't going to happen, would like to see the Hearts game back four start again with Reynolds at left back rather than Considine getting shown a clean pair of heels by whoever is playing on the right for Sellic.

Lewis

Logan Taylor O'Connor Reynolds

Pawlett Shinnie

McGinn Storey Burns

Rooney

having either consi reynolds at LB is not an option for me. celtic have pace and that needs to be countered with either a) ensuring we have pace in key positions, full backs is one of them b) sitting deep and controlling the space on the pitch.

I don't think we can afford to just sit deep, Celtic's weakness is in their defence, so we get on the front foot and push their players back.

F**k it, let's just go for it. If we lose we just continue our shite record at parkhead.

Lewis

Logan Taylor Reynolds Shinnie

O'Connor

McGinn McLean Burns

Storey Rooney

Apart from Pasquinelli and Mackie I'd say that was a pretty good team that day.

Come to think of it, I think Pasquinelli and Mackie scored? So it was basically a decent team. Or at least a team on the rise following the appointment of the king.

The team that won 2-1 with Zdrillic scoring the winner. I remember the team being read out and not even recognising some of our guys.

I like the front four idea with Rooney, Burns, Storey and Mcginn all rotating in one way or another especially given their obvious defensive frailties. My concern would be because of the lack of fit personnel in midfield (and Mcginn and Burns having an apparent allergy to defending) plus a horribly valid concern re pace attacking our left back that we'll resort to the back 5 abortion that we've used unsuccessfully in the past, essentially bringing them onto us which would be very dangerous given the individuals involved - there's and ours! Can only hope it leaves them exposed to a breakaway goal.

Edit: Worked with Quinn at Pittodrie right enough!

Oh come on! Plus, it was Pele.

3-2 John Stewart game. Last time we beat them in the league at Parkhead embarrassingly.
