BWG
Hopefully we'll get the reaction we were looking for last night. St Johnstone aren't great right now but they've a good record against us down there in recent seasons. Assuming May and GMS are both fit I'd go with Shinnie needs to play with the brakes on a bit just now and just concentrate on breaking up play and putting in solid defensive shifts. It'll still be narrow but Stewart and Logan seem to provide at least some width down the right flank. Prediction: A ropey 0-1 win to the dons. Link to comment

Part of me thinks that McInnes should just commit to playing Stewart and GMS for say the next 5 games regardless of performance to see if we can get them up to speed. As others have said there are signs of good things with them, just not the completed articles. People forget that the Johnny Hayes we sold to Celtic was 3-4 years in the making. Celtic can afford the finished article. We can't, so we have to make them. Link to comment

Reliablesource
Heres how Id go - and I think this is a great team to give this a bash against - fucking tractor driving cunts: Joseph Shay Kari Scotty Graeme Anthony G-Stew Wright/Ross Flipper (if fin is flippy - if not Ross/Wright) Christie May (if boo boo is fixed - if not Adam) No Kenny - fuck him. I got a bit dizzy looking at that line up. I think we'd be a bit weak down the left hand side. Link to comment

waldo5
We have to be convincingly beating St Johnstone. Watched the second half of their game with Hamilton on alba and they look 100% worse than we have this season. So instead of completely awful, I'll go for ghastly... Totally devoid of any ideas. So it is the perfect game for the likes of McLean and even Maynard to "do goals". Deek is quick to remind everyone it's biz as usual in his recent interviews. Which it was, a dire 1-0 win over a shite Dundee. But we really do need to get back to business as usual - which is convincingly stepping all over shite teams, which is more like our last season. I am not a fan of Derek McInnes and was very much hoping for a change, but I am fully behind the boy and the team. The players themselves need to take more responsibility too, regardless of the manager and his consistently bizarre decision making. 4-1 the Dons. The start of better things to come I hope. He's more direct and to me has shown a greater end product than gms. Gms was a waste of money. 1 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
We have to take our game and force St J to play it. *. We dont want to just go nose to nose with them with high balls all night or Anderson and Jo will just lap it up. * I fully realise thats the game I want us to play, the game we have the players to play but is not necessarily the game we have been playing. Shinniesta
Not necessarily the team I want to play but it's the team I think DM will put out to deal with the physical threat of St J (assuming both May and GMS are fit). LewisLogan Arnason McKenna Considine O'Connor ShinnieChristie McLean GMSMay Would be harsh on Stewart who I think has played quite well in the last two games but I reckon Del will play GMS so that we have more pace going forward. I think DM will stick with Considine at LB and Shinnie in midfield for this one. I hope I'm wrong Considine should really be on the bench most weeks now. 1-1. Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
Shinnie at left back and get Barry Robson back in midfield cause we are currently root in that area Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Stewart in place of Maclean and Shinnie back to left back is the change were crying out to try but 0-0 at Mcdairmaid isnt the place to try it unfortunately. Sticky one this. Link to comment

CrocodileDondee
Let's have a 0-4. Our margins for success have been worryingly fine this season. Too many of our wins rely on the combination of a single goal, lucky breaks and Joe Lewis. Teams feared us last season and would sit back as we piled on the pressure high up the park. This season we haven't replicated that...our play has become disjointed and slapdash. We look disorganised, lost even. Other teams smell blood. Wednesday night is an opportunity for us to remind the rest of the league that we are here, we are hungry and we bite. Link to comment

The media will then spin it as the huns getting some sort of revenge on McInnes by taking one of his best players for nothing. They will conveniently forget to mention that he is not the level of player who will improve them and that he hasn't managed to lay a finger on Celtic any time he has played against them. Teams do not go into games fearing what we can do against them now. Quite the opposite in fact.Surprising (on paper) with what we have in attack but we haven't shown any kind of dominance in an attacking sense at all & defensively we are weak as a result because teams know they can push up more against us than in the past.
