Hall Of Fame (Scotland)

Recommended Posts

OT no disputing Gascoigne was a great player but as been said not a chance should he be anywhere near the Hall Of Fame. If they are putting in cunts from the manky mobs then fair enough the likes of Larsson & Laudrup as their contribution to the Scottish game is well documented and unlike the wife beater they never courted controversy.

This is exactly it. How good a player he was is irrelevant when stacked against how big of a shitebag he was and is.

If ever there should be an inductee to the Scottish Hall of Fame, then look no further:

Your probably right, he is a gobshite however you can't take away from him the amount of goals he's scored in Scotland, particularly at Kilmarnock.

About 4-5 years ago, he scored over 20 goals for Kilmarnock and saved them from relegation but they gave the POTY award to Commons from Celtic.

Typical lazy Scottish football awards, give it to an OF player even though there are more deserving players out there.

Presume you mean Laudrup.

Always thought Laudrup was just a big fish small pond.

Struggled in Rangers’ big european games and his post Rangers career at Chelsea was diabolical whet set against the love in he gets from Scottish media.

Also his pre Rangers time at AC wasn’t great ( fair enough on that count, so was Vieras)

Overrated. Massively.

Not getting involved in this debate but just wanted to say, was he fuck.

Hmmm.

During his playing career, Michael Laudrup won league titles with Ajax, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, playing mainly as an attacking midfielder, although he was also capable of playing in other offensive positions. A world class playmaker, he was a member of Johan Cruyff's "Dream Team" at Barcelona, where he won nine trophies, including four successive La Liga titles from 1991 to 1994 and the European Cup in 1992. Laudrup moved to arch-rivals Real Madrid in 1994, with whom he won his fifth La Liga title in a row.

Says more about the teams than the player imo.

Brian Laudrup

He returned to the team in February 1992 and played the last 15 matches of the season as Bayern finished in tenth position.

Laudrup's reputation began to grow and he fulfilled his lifelong ambition when he moved to Serie A in 1993(at the time, arguably the top league in the world) to sign for Fiorentina. Despite the presence of such other stars as Stefan Effenberg and Gabriel Batistuta, the club was unexpectedly relegated after more than 50-straight years playing in Serie A.

Precisely. No hold up play whatsoever.
