maryhilldon
Giving Mcginn a 3 and a half year contract is a sacking offence in itself, fuckin ridiculous. Lowe was our only half decent player today, so he'll probably get benched next week if Devlin makes it. We could be on the end of a proper McGhee era spanking next week. Link to comment
cumbernauld red
Says it all that considine and mckenna took to trying to drive the game forward from defence (very badly). No spirit from midfield. Think Ferguson is maybe exempt from some blame given his age but our captain needs to be the inspiration to lift the team. Didn't see it yesterday. Need to discover it for next Sunday. Link to comment
fifered
The lacking size comment annoys me. Football thoughts of about 20 years ago. It's more like we lack general football ability, especially in midfield where during successive windows we've failed to replace jack and now we have not replaced mclean. Add to that a succession of car crash strikers, the blame for all of which lies with mcinnes. We've been playing shite for about 18 months now, it's nothing to do with lacking 'size' v motherwell. Mcinnes keeps trying to and that is the problem, plays right into their strengths. Link to comment

The Oxford Don
I’ve given it some thought, and I’ve reached the conclusion that we’re just not very good at football. This makes it difficult to win games against teams who are better at football than we are. My usual consultancy fee of £145,000 applies. 1 Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
I’ve seen some shite in my time but I think yesterday was the worst performance I’ve ever seen from Aberdeen. Every single player was absolutely horrendous. Lewis Ferguson was probably our best player, with a rating of 3/10 Link to comment

Sheepo
I said at the start of the season we can't score goals and nothing has changed, a team that can't score goals will always struggle, we have 16 goals in 13 games which is pretty miserable Link to comment

We need more cutting open play. Remember some of Mclean's through balls? Porn. Link to comment

Daz the Don
Its just Mcinnes talk for Considine and Cosgrove will start next week come what mayI do think considine will start and because of the current form of Forrest, it's likely he will try and counter that by playing Lowe in left midfield to double up. Would it be a surprise if Cosgrove starts ? Not to me, as he's got form for trying the big man up front tactic v Celtic in the past with Stockley. Link to comment

The only real conundrum next week is whether Devlin is fit, and if he is, I've no doubt Consi will start at left back with, as you say, Lowe wide left in a midfield 4, at the expense of McGinn. Him, May and Wilson all played themselves out of a Cup Final starting place yesterday. fifered
If the team news an hour before next week's match comes out with ball and Cosgrove starting we'd all be as well turning round and going home. Neither if those two are remotely good enough to play for Aberdeen. 2 Link to comment

fifered
Who should we have signed that’s of equal ability of Jack and McLean? Not being a full time scout I couldn't tell you exactly. What I could tell you is that someone like Dominic ball was not going to be good enough. Gleeson and Forrester I've no idea about as I've barely seen them but it doesn't look like they are the answer at the moment. Given that these 3 have all been identified by mcinnes and or his scouting team then questions have to be asked about their ability. Are you suggesting that aiming to bring in footballers of equal ability to jack and mclean was unrealistic? Link to comment

Daz the Don
That line up is awful. Sadly think its what will be though.Yeah, as much 6ft plus guys in their as possible, to make sure we have enough "size". Set up to stay in the game for as long as possible and use set pieces as our main attacking threat in the hope of nicking a goal to give us something to hold onto. Horrible as fuck but I'm not sure we have any other option. Will be delighted if it works but were up against on form attacking players who are streets ahead of what hibs and rangers offered in previous rounds. Link to comment
