Aberdeen 0 - 2 Hamilton

Recommended Posts

If that's the starting line up i'm about turning and heading home before kick off.

although i agree we need to revert to 4-4-2.

4-2-3-1 or 3-2-3-2 or whatever the fuck it was we were playing second half last night isn't working

Ok so there is a reason why DM is manager and not me.  But who would you play in tour 4-4-2? We have Logan and probs Lowe out and can we really justify starting the same front four after last night?

The three at the back has never worked for Mcinnes

I've seen us play miles better and create less. We were absolutely shite, but even being shite we should have put that game to bed in the first half.

Key points

  • McKenna looks like he's forgotten how to defend in his three weeks off, which is a worry. He looked weak and was constantly being brushed aside.
  • Considine allowing yon boy to get infront of him in the box, and then allowing the shot to come in is unforgivable. It's a shame we're struggling with so many injuries as he shouldn't be anywhere near that starting 11.
  • Those corners between Stewart and McGinn were shite. Get the fucking thing in the box. All we're doing is allowing the opposition time to block the cross coming in.
  • It was because we were so bad that the shitness of Bobby Madden was overlooked. The inconsistencies like booking one guy for blootering the ball away, then ignoring the several other occasions they did it, also booked Considine for a challenge and then Hamilton got away with several similar.
  • Had Shinnie converted the best move of the game, rather than weakly passing it at the keeper, we'd probably have won that game comfortably.

Why do we continue to fuck about with the 2 foot tap before the cross?

That 2 foot is hardly going to change the angle of the cross enough to cause any sort of problem.

As you say, it just gives the defender a second to close down the cross.

At least The Ebbe Snake Corner was a laugh and worked once in a blue moon.

Also means there's 1 less forward in the box.

I assume it's because McInnes wants an outswinging, if that's the word, cross into the box (i.e. away from the keeper), without the ball starting from the line and potentially going out before heading back in.

Stewart finally got the message when he and McGinn were about to do another near the end of the game, but the crowd went mental, so he played it into the box (was a shite cross as well)

Ball right back and Lowe left back if he makes it.

Shinnie and Ferguson in the middle of the park.  McLennan and GMS wide.  Stewart and Cosgrove up front.

Get McGinn clean to fuck

It also 'supposedly' distracts players in the box so players can lose their man for that crucial split second.

It's all a load of bs though.

A lot easier to hit a decent dead ball into the box having being positioned by your own hand & sat the way you want it than it is to hit one in that has just been studded into the ground by a team mate. Even if a large part of that is physiological. It is still easier & resultant in a more consistent/better ball in the box

Hardly surprising our home form is so poor given the unrelenting negativity from all the torn-faced cunts in the stands. Away from home the fans get behind the players and the results speak for themselves.

We genuinely have the worst fans in the league.

^^^Fans of every club after every home defeat

It does if you have several threats at said set piece. We have Considine, arguably Cosgrove.

It also takes a defender out of the box.

We're shite at using it though, needs binned.

Been like that for years. Hardly a new thing FFS. Nae excuse for losing to Hamilton and their binman manager

Maybe all the 'supporters' from the central belt etc. should travel to Pittodrie for the home games & change the attitude of the 'home' support to that of the 'team lifting' away support.

For me the teams failings come firstly from the manager & a close secondly from the players. We can blame their failures on a few things, such as the chairman etc. but the fans (whilst undoubtedly a big part of the club/team) are not the reason/EXCUSE for our shite home form.

Chicken & egg is the best argument to support your view of blaming the home support but even that is utter shite.

Cunts on pitch & dug out are closest to action & therefore the main ones responsible.

They wouldn't be there in the first place without that home support you want to blame for them failing.

You want drums & happy with their lot supporters like Motherwell?

To do that you have to get rid of the ones that EXPECT a whole lot more.

Then you get what you wish for

Our home support is horrendous. Even when we were great in the 80s we had stinking results. There are cunts posting on here who would have been calling for fergie head. Let's be honest your one of them.

This is on the money. The sheer negativity from our fans is embarrassing, no wonder players have such fragile confidence at Pittodrie when all it takes is one wrong pass to have everyone foaming at the mouth.

Greg Stewart prime example, confidence to try all sorts of stuff at Kilmarnock, two spells here and now zero confidence due to the supporters being constantly on his case.

That's not the way I've seen it.  Looks trapped by McInnes' rigid system.  Was much more fluid whenever I saw him playing for Killie.

I don't feel McInnes gets the best out of that type of player.  See Christie when he moved to Celtic and Maddison when he went back down the road to Norwich.

So it's the fans fault he's not been as good here as he was at Killie? Honestly, that's absolute loony talk. Have a word with yourself.

He’s clearly a confidence player and you can see it ebbing away week by week.

You disagree the home atmosphere is toxic and fans are too quick to get on players backs?

Fans are quick to get on players back at every home stadium. Been to plenty other grounds where its the exact same.

Trying to excuse the players of shite performances because the crowd are getting on their back is nonsense.
