Sevco v Aberdeen

Agreed. Stewart is I suspect going to turn out to be 100% one of "those" players.

The ones that will take the best money they can find when offered but only have any sort of decent effort level or contribution when they feel like it - and to double down on this the "feel like it" will be at its highest when playing for the scum, surrounded by other like minded scum.

The rest of Scottish Football is irrelevant to these guys, as a club AFC really need to start vetting for, almost profiling this sort of hun/tim obsessed mindset and get them out of the club for good. We need winners who don't give a fuck who they are up against and don't need a rendition of god save the queen or some bigoted rubbish to get them up for it.

A good example of the minority would be Hayes and even Shinnie. Never made any real secret of a desire to play at a higher level (and if that’s the cheeks so be it) you couldn’t say either have given any less than 100% literally putting body on the line for us. Compare and contrast to Stewart.

Yip - McInnes has always set us up to play the badge not the useless shite they had wearing it.  Sickening

We also got our first win at Ibrox in fuck knows how long, plus another win at Ibrox since. Plus the Semi Final win last season under Mcinnes.

The weekend was unacceptable and he is undoubtedly deservedly under pressure, but this retrospective shite is just dramatic pish.

Yip. We were atrocious on Saturday and losing 5-0 to the huns is never acceptable. And the style of football we have played this season isn't acceptable either so yes you are right he is deservedly under pressure.

But you are also right to point out his recent good record in Glasgow against the huns. 3 wins at Ibrox in the last 3 and a half years plus a semi-final win in Glasgow at Hampden. Considering the vast difference in resources between the two clubs to beat them 4 times in Glasgow in the last 3 and a half years is impressive considering since he arrived we hadn't beaten them at Ibrox since 1991 and not in Glasgow since 1995.

McInnes needs to buck his ideas up and quick I don't think anyone doubts that but a bit of perspective is required.

I take the point about a 5-0 scudding off a team costing silly millions yesterday. But I don’t remember us returning the favour, or even coming close when they were skint and shite. Even the Maddison free kick game, pleasing though it was, was a sit back and absorb affair as I recall. Got lucky that day, completely backfired the next with the 3-0 off of Kenny Miller and thon Dodo bastard. It’s all been about respect from the off.

We played pretty well the 3-0 game did we not? Dominated them for the majority of the game then an absolute meltdown happened. Fucking weird one but that could be the best we have looked against them in recent years.

Ever since we've been running scared. Embarrassing.

That's a bit harsh. We completely dominated the second half of the 4-2 home defeat earlier this season and but for a very questionable refereeing decision would have surely have at least drawn that game if not gone on to win it. Plus we beat the huns more than any other club did last season they only lost twice at home both times to AFC.

Saturday was a fucking embarrassment though. But the cold hard fact is they now have a far superior XI and squad. When you rock up at Ibrox with as depleted a squad as we had there's always a chance we'll get a doing. They are always massively up for it against us especially under Slippy G.

Exactly. I recall being happy enough 70 minutes into the 0-3 game as well. But where was the fear of failure in the players at missing our several chances. No killer instinct. No realisation that we had them by the throat. Where was the subsequent reaction? Certainly felt like a shrug of the shoulders and an “ach well look at their budget.” Plus the usual p&J article on the following Thursday about the boys being disappointed and promising to give 100% to make up for it. Sorry, when did we agree that sub 100% was acceptable? See Greg Stewart for details!

Good point about the 4-2. Funnily enough that was our best performance against them last season I think, were very unlucky.

The games we won we tended to sit in which did work because the huns were so shite.

It was definitely the one game where we attacked them the most and pushed them back for long periods. We defended poorly on the night though and gave away some soft goals.

Maybe its the training here?

Stewart should be forced to pay back any costs or expenses we had to pay out for his time here.

He admitted he was unfit in his first spell - didn’t look any fitter in his second.

Seems to have no shame about turning up and being shite. Players shouldn’t be able to get away with it.

He was a stone lighter in his second spell with us. Killie saw to that. I still don't think he is all that good but McInnes negated any talent he had by mainly sending him out wide. He will still be a bit part player at sevco. Likely punted out on loan in 18 months when he drops even further down the queue for a first team place

The first win there (2-0) I'll give you.  We were fortunate to win the semi final and the other league game at ibrox and massively rode our luck in the scottish cup game.  We've had a fair few humpings in between including a few at home and finishing with Saturdays total capitulation.

He sets up negatively against them every time - defend like fuck and try to nick a goal from a set piece.

I don't think we were fortunate to win the semi-final at all it was a tight game but we got the job done in difficult circumstances in Glasgow. The 1-0 win at Ibrox was a very good result considering Cosgrove's ridiculously soft red card meant we played around half an hour of that game 10 vs 11. We beat them 2-0 in the Scottish Cup away again no-one was saying we were lucky at the time. We were solid and clinical that night.

I agree that some of our other performances against them (especially at home) have been very poor. Saturday was a disgrace. McInnes gives them too much respect and sets up negatively I don't disagree with that. But let's not make out we didn't deserve to beat them the 3 times we did last season. We did even their own manager had no complaints about the results after each defeat.

The Semi was a shit fest where I thought they were slightly better than us but had no cutting edge due to Freddo and Lafferty being unavailable

The closest we came to handing out a proper doing was the night we ended the Ibrox jinx. 2-1 flattered the Huns that night, for an hour we bossed that game, missed quite a few sitter before Christie eventually made it 2-0.

They got back into it quickly after the second goal, and we then criminally sat back and defended, when really we should have been 3/4 nil up and taking the piss.

Hard to be annoyed about a game where we actually won, but was a right good chance to seriously rub their noses in it.
