Pipe down WHS We've won our last 4 cup ties against Sevco and Hibs combined. We have been drawn against Sevco under Gerrard twice in the cups and knocked them out each time beating them in Glasgow on both occasions. WHS clearly didn't do his homework on this one. 1 Link to comment
ThomohawkKid
Seen somebody say McLennan not been offered a deal. A really like him in our current style of play. All we do is lump it up the pitch so might as well have somebody rapid to chase those over hit passes, at least he’s a half chance of catching it. I’d probably play him in the front 3 most weeks atm, if not WB 1 Link to comment
Redmist1903
He's hopeless in another position other than out on the wing and even out on the wing he's usually hopeless to. Link to comment

Unfortunately we've gone and signed Kennedy until 2023 (fucking madness signing him in the first place), and Mclennan's deal is up first - so he loses on this occasion. Link to comment
sooth_stander
Comparing Kennedy to McLennan is a pointless exercise as neither is good enough for the level that we aspire to be. Link to comment

You're right. But my point was that we are now left with the lesser of the two. And until summer 2023 no less. Link to comment
GDON21
So in this window we’ve lost essentially Watkins, Edmondson, Hernandez(most probably) and are not replacing any of them? Anderson & Virtanen come back in to add numbers but are either good enough? Hibs look set to add Chris Cadden & Jackson Irvine, both will improve them. Scary that we’re still in third currently after playing about three good games all season. We have absolutely zero aspiration for second place and we will be fighting for third and probably finish 4th, even need to watch our backs at Livingston now, Wednesday game is now huge, lose and livi will be only 6 pts behind us. Is Jackson Irvine going to Hibs? I liked the look of him a few years back when he played up here. Link to comment
Guest
Jackson Irvine is a good signing for Hibs. Would've been a good signing for us, too. Should be said that we are one of a few clubs who haven't made non playing staff redundant due to the pandemic. That's commendable, and I'd prefer we kept honest folk their jobs than continue to sign players when our squad is already large enough. Hibs binned their youth system and plenty staff, all so they might get 4th place. Useless arseholes. Edit: Aside from McDermid and Shinie. Get them fuckin sacked. Link to comment

He probably waited like a lot of players to try get a decent deal somewhere and waited too long and then the salary cap got put in place. A lot of really good players available in this window due to this. Link to comment

Tord31
Greg Stewart, who shares an agent with DM, has unfinished business at Pittodrie. A third loan and a third time declining to sign for us permanently would be hilarious. Link to comment

aberdeen1970
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. Cheap punt really. They've got some existing squad filler leaving in the summer so will have some spaces. Link to comment
Geoff_Tipps
I suspect this will be used to help get the McCrorie deal over the line given we are in absolutely no position financially to complete the deal agreed. Link to comment

Initially I thought that's ridiculous but then when you remember they have Jones, Stewart and Hastie coming to the end of their time then you think maybe it starts to become more plausible. McInnes has been linked with all three in the past so a loan swap is not impossible. Link to comment
