Aberdeen sack Derek McInnes

And lasts for 10 months yeah?

Lol ffs are you seriously starting that defence of him already?

You simply won't admit he's failing RIGHT NOW or at very least not succeeding at preparing the team very well for our next game, or START to the season.

Europa season will be over for us a lot sooner than ten months

- Hearts scored 2 goals in 90 minutes and used an unregistered player in doing so. We scored 2 goals by halftime

- friendly v competitive game (We made 5 substitutions at halftime)

- we conceded from a soft penalty. Hearts conceded from open play.

Hearts were playing a team called Rangers. They quite like Rangers so they go easy on them.

Who would think cove rangers would be a barometer for Aberdeen

The comparison was between the Dons and Hearts (v the same opponent).

To the point of possibly throwing the game might be taking it a bit far.

First team players out. A O'C. Arnason, McLean, Christie, Stewart & now Rooney.

Not bother with Chidi as he will be replaced by another shit loanee anyway & Ball has already been replaced by Ball.

Keeper back up, will obviously be filled, even if it comes to an emergency signing or a call back.

Devlin just back from injury & already out injured/unfit but we clearly needed another right sided defender anyway. Where the fk is he? Or does Ball cover this in short term? Like he does at RB & midfield.

Totally new midfield in & half of it is injured

McInnes admitted himself he fkd up last window in general & he also filled the squad with too many loans.

Does he even listen to himself lol

I was there last night. Hearts were not great kyle lafferty should be made to pay for all the footballs he put over the fence amount of chances he missed.

Rooney; perspective.

Third choice striker in a team that plays with one striker.

Just how badly do we need to replace our third choice striker?

Have a think about that.

He was always first choice striker.

Except when McInnes thought he mix things up tactically lol

Until Cosgrove came in at end of season for a few games. Rooney was first choice. Even though off form.

He has never been our third choice striker unless he's injured

So not REALLY perspective

Our first choice has a glass knee and our second choice has scored the same number of goals for us as Nicky Naegoals managed. We badly need a proper first choice striker.

Fair points of course, but even an 80% fit Stevie May has been preferred over Rooney for more than half a season and I have faith he’ll come good. Cosgrove; correct, but while it wasn’t pretty at times, he was very effective in post-split fixtures.

We do need another striker for sure, but all this over emotional hand wringing is embarrassing, this is football fandom for the Love Island generation, these folk need to get a grip, or get laid, or something.

I know we were trying to be fair to Rooney in letting him take up this opportunity, but for fuck sake why leave ourselves horrendously short? We were already needing to replace Naegoals (McInnes has said as such), now we're two forwards down and nowhere near replacing even one of them. Rooney had two years left on his deal, we held all the aces. To not have anything confirmed before letting him to is bordering on managerial incompetence.

No, we got an offer we'd never have expected for him. Plus a bench player on top wages off the payroll.

I'll join your pant sharting if we don't sign a couple decent players soon though.
