Hibernian 1 - 0 Aberdeen

Just seen the Porteous kick on Ramirez again.

That feel hoor Muir is looking right at it. Doesn't even give a foul.

We were shite last night though. Campbell was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park first half, but something changed in the second half. I don't think it was the right move to take JET off so soon, as someone pointed out he can hold the ball into feet really well, and it keeps it in good areas you can start attacks from. When Ramsay came on the ball was going out to him to be the creative spark, but that's really difficult from RB.

Me saying his movement was shite was generous to him last night. He was pathetic, worst performance for us by a mile since he arrived.

I didn’t say he was shite last night. Just admit you lied.

He's not going to go in behind, not his game. That's why Watkins is there, who also really shite.

Agree with that apart from the unnecessary insult at the end. It amazes me how so many people bite at the bait from some of the unreadable contributors on this part of the site.

I thought Campbell was playing alright fwiw and at least 5 other players would have been subbed off before him last night. Dons were outplayed by Hibs ffs.

Blessed is the peacemaker ?

Really other teams who want to sign him think otherwise

As do a lot of dons supporters but each to their own opinion.

What does he do?  He's too one footed, injury prone and turns up once in a blue moon.

Great ball carrier but he does nothing with it

Your right you said Boyle

a mentioned

jake Doyle Hayes- got injured

josh doig- played well

nesbitt- lost confidence but there’s a player in there somewhere

and the keeper-kept a clean sheet against us, and we lost. You keep saying we are a lot better than hibs and no hibs player would get in our squad?.a bloody wish that was factually correct.

Same bet as last year bud (charity bet)?.

(lost confidence in glass)(also wish you were correct and we fuck by them in the table but just don’t see it with glass at the helm!.)

That's not what I said either, I said apart from Boyle none would get in our first team.  I then changed it to include Doig when it was pointed out he was a left back.

If you want aye ?

Mods?

It's quite simple to put the rocket on block, it's posters quoting him every two mins who are the problem.

I thought Campbell and Ferguson played pretty well first half, not sure what happened at half time as Campbell had a really poor second half.

Ojo showing again he's not a midfielder. Others have criticised ferguson but I thought he was our best player.

Our front 3 were absolutely useless again.

It seems to me glass will go down with ojo and ramirez. Both shoe horned in no matter how shite they are playing.

A really awful game to watch.

I only saw the second half, but thought Ferguson was one of the few really playing with any kind of urgency (not that it was particularly effective).

Any time Ojo is in midfield we seem to be significantly worse off. He's done okay filling in at right back when needs must, but having him in midfield is a disaster. I don't understand why he has to ALWAYS play - no matter who is fit, there always seems to be space in the team somewhere for him.

Ramirez will play every week because we really have no alternative. He's a finisher and you want him in the box on the end of chances rather than someone like JET (who would likely be hanging around the half way line) or Watkins (whose finishing is a bit hit and miss). We need to sign a striker who can allow us to give Ramirez a rest. I actually think the guy is probably knackered playing every minute of every game, and in a lot of them being asked to play as a loan striker doing a lot of running around.

We seem to be able to play some nice little triangles of passing between defence and midfield, which looks nice, but is pretty pointless. When we get further forward we struggle to replicate it in areas that matter. Now that Ramsay is back the temptation will be to just get the ball out to him and fire crosses into the box, rather than mixing our attack up a bit more.

I don’t get the bending over backwards to defend him. He was poor last night. So was Watkins who I’m a big fan of.

He was, but if you're talking about his movement in general, last night wasn't the night, they defended very deep.

Would agree with all that. Ferguson was strong I thought.

Wouldnt like someone saying that about my kid.

Must of us have watched the lad come right through the system with Ollie being on this board. He really is one of our own..... Say you dont rate him but posts like that are ridiculous. It's not about giving him an easy time if you are posting shit like that. Jesus, your posts are shite. If you are just looking for a reaction so someone on a noticeboard will notice you and make you feel like you have some relevance then you really do need to get a grip of your life.

First half last night Campbell was one of our better players

He was really unlucky with that shot he had from pretty far out

What actually is his position?

A few little bursts up the left wing and to be fair, keech crosses , but there's definitely something about him for a wide left position, whether defensively or offensively

He seems to "know" the game and have good game intelligence

Someone a while back says he looks like he has been really well coached and that's true

The Porteous decision was a fucking joke. Glass not even mentioning it because people will say it’s an excuse but it’s the most blatant red card you’ll see and he’s went on to score the winner.

We’ve been shafted beyond belief by refs this season. Jenks goal aside.

Baffling how he can't see it.

The fact he was shitting himself after as well.

What a load of drivel. I want the lad to do well but who honestly doesn’t think he needs to do better to have a future at Aberdeen? If anyone thinks Dean Campbell deserves a place in the team then they need their head examined. The guy is not good enough at the moment. A loan could we be the solution and it will be for everyone’s benefit.

I don’t work offshore….I make plenty working on the mainland. I am guilty of making people bite but this is a fans forum and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

No, this is good fun. You lot are too serious. It’s probably the pressure of your living circumstances. Is your current circumstances making you feel sad, do you feel depressed and worthless. If so, please seek help as it would explain a lot.

Yes, he seems like he wants to try and play the ball on the deck and keep possession of it etc which he usually does fairly well.

I'm also not sure what position he is meant to specialise in. His main attributes are being able to keep the ball, neat and tidy, decent passing. He's not as good as McGeouch at doing those things though. He's not got the bite and aggression to play as a defensive midfielder, and he doesn't really have the pace or ability to go past people to play a more attacking role. He is very one footed so playing on the left possibly suits him better, but again I don't think he has the defensive abilities to play at LB permanently.

All of the above makes me think he's never going to be much more than a squad player, someone who'll fill in from time to time and do a decent job.  Maybe he does need to go out on loan for 6 months to get regular football to sharpen him up a little.

Not read through much of the pages only last couple but my thought on last nights game.

First half Jet was pretty awful last night worst player on the park. When he was out wide right in very surprised Hibs didn’t use that wing more as him and ojo were a terrible pairing out there which seemed to be why hayes was used so much on the left which Hibs kept doubling up on.
Apart from them I’m not sure first half we were that bad Hibs started of with more of the ball and but it was pretty even with neither team making any clear cut opportunities maybe we shaded it.

Thought Campbell and Ferguson were decent but Ferguson was best player by a mile if we had another 2 of him in the middle we would of won easily.

I’m a bit split on if we will miss hedges much sometimes I think he’s really good and we should fo everything to keep him then games like last night I think we won’t he seemed to pick the wrong option a lot pass at the edge of the box when he should shoot, try a shot when he should pass.

Portious should never of been on the park to score, his kick at Ramirez nuts was far worse than butchers wee punch, how he stayed on I’ll never know.

Generally thought the two teams canceled each other out and both as bad as each other with neither creating any clear cut open play chances.

Another thing a question for anyone who was at the game. Why were all the Aberdeen fans squeezed into one third of the stand when the rest was empty and we keep getting told to social distance
